This may not have been the original intention but there is something really cool about a storyline where two white men take a liking to Mexican Culture and approach it from opposite places. One man respects it and earns the love of the country. The other man tries to take it for himself, his own way and gets completely rejected. He has to learn how to respect culture and he does. Some of you will probably point out the very objective, undeniable fact that the very American company WWE has purchased this Mexican product and flooded it with their non-Mexican wrestlers and storytelling. This Mask vs Mask match being had by two men who are not traditional Luchadors. This is correct. But I would argue that's the beauty of the Grande Americano storyline, whether they intended it to be originally or fell into it, the reactions of the crowds in MEXICO speak for themselves. Mostly driven by Ludwig Kaiser's legitimate willingness to learn the Spanish language and connect with the Mexican crowd. In the end, La Guerra de los Americanos ended up being the perfect way to introduce American fans to the Mask vs Mask concept. One can only hope the entire company will follow Ludwig Kaiser's example and respect the culture they're beginning to profit and benefit from. Maybe we can get a proper Mask vs Mask between two traditional Luchadors that has the same crowd involvement and interest from WWE's AAA
