One of the few things I'm still slightly bitter about in Villeneuve's Dune is how little of a space the mentats occupy. Thufir is barely in Part One & completely absent from Part Two. I get compromises had to be made, but I LOVE the mentats and wish we had seen more of them.

@CharacterDark O sea que tienen la traducción como en el español? La forma en que lo encontré en el libro fue rara, habría quedado mejor "manipulación psicológica" que el término traducido tal cual, que solo lo reconocí porque el personaje estaba haciendo gaslighting de verdad

@CharacterDark Me sorprende que ya hubiera una película de ese tema en el 44 cuando todavía la sociedad era bastante retrógrada. Es un hecho interesante que el término haya surgido de ahí!

@r_malbec Sim, eu só assisti porque vi num artigo que o termo Gaslighting veio do filme (ele deve ser baseado nesse livro), qdo você assiste entende bem, porque o cara do filme manipula e faz a mulher pensar que ela está louca
