The Tories and Labour have already sent £700 million of British taxpayer money to the French to “stop the boats”, yet they’ve kept coming in record numbers. The French are laughing at us. Reform would cancel any new deal Labour does and demand a refund for monies already paid.

Farage talking in Norwich at Reform UK Rally makes reference to Norfolk County Council (NCC) when all 84 seats will be up for election. NCC is currently controlled by Conservatives 58 seats. Labour 12 seats LibDem 8 seats 43 seats for majority - the aim of Reform UK on 7 May.

Not a word of outrage when Starmer had a photo shoot at Bristol Rovers but when it’s Farage an elected MO representing constituency 41 miles down the road it’s outrageous. Nothing to do with Ipswich Town FC it’s just those who are anti-Farage. Suffolk electorate vote on 7 May.

Softening their immigration policies won't be enough. A complete change of attitude towards immigrants is essential. It's time to make them feel welcome, help them integrate, allow them to work, speed up the asylum process & shout about the benefits to the country.

@simon_schama Great certainly for the EU with UK rejoining Erasmus+ student exchange programme in 2027, with an agreed payment of £570 million. 2025/2026 academic year, UK student exchange plan (Turing Scheme) had confirmed budget of £78 million - being 7 times CHEAPER than EU Erasmus+.

@Suewilson91 Don’t pay to call people stupid Sus as such can can come back at you. Tax revenue from gas/oil drilling would be paid into the nations treasury which would be a direct benefit. Green levies make up around 16% of a typical UK electricity bill.

Stupid, stupid woman. Around 93% of UK oil & gas reserves has already been extracted. It takes 5 years to create a new North Sea oil/gas field. (She won't last that long). The UK doesn't set the prices, so it wouldn't make electricity any cheaper.

@Suewilson91 It’s not as claimed - bollocks - it’s fact - with British homes homes heated by & cook by gas. To convert UK homes to electricity would be astronomical & no idea of time scale such would take. Sunny Spain may be suited for solar farms but UK needs gas & oil & that’s a fact.

Keir Starmer claims Nigel Farage is to blame for the boat people because Brexit took us out of the Dublin Convention (in 2020), which allowed us to return asylum seekers to the EU countries from whence they came. The PM is either ignorant of the facts — or knowingly lying. Neither is a good look. The Dublin Convention was a two-way street for asylum seekers. Yes, we could try to return them. But others could also be returned to us. As a result the Dublin Agreement actually made us a net recipient of asylum seekers. Take 2018. We made 5,500 requests for asylum seekers to be returned. Only 209 transfers were agreed. In the same year, under the same convention we accepted 1,215 asylum seekers. So we were net recipients by over 1,000. The Dublin Convention did nothing to make it easier to return asylum seekers. Nearly all politicians are cavalier with the truth when it suits them. But Starmer is taking this to a new level.
