A sincere thank you to our exceptional speakers for sharing thoughtful, practical, and forward-looking perspectives on translating innovation into real-world military care at #ORS2026. The conversation highlighted not only the importance of objective, data-driven approaches, but also the structural and cultural shifts needed to make these technologies scalable and impactful. Looking forward to advancing meaningful change in MSK care. #Orthopaedics #MSK #MilitaryMedicine #Innovation #MedTech #IC #ORS_Innovation_Committee #MilMed @ORSsociety #ORS_IC

If you are attending #ORS2026 in Charlotte, join the panel I organized with the #ORS_Innovation_Committee team, where I will be moderating: "Bridging Innovation and Reality: IoT, Rehabilitation, and Unmet Needs in Military MSK Care" Musculoskeletal injuries remain a leading cause of limited duty and long-term disability in active-duty service members, yet how we assess readiness and recovery has not kept pace with innovation. This session brings together leaders from clinical care, research, engineering, and industry to examine how we move beyond pilot studies and translate technology into real-world military care. We will discuss: Gaps in current return-to-duty decision frameworks Challenges in implementing connected technologies What it takes to make innovation scalable, usable, and impactful Featuring: Don Goss, PT, DPT, PhD, OCS, ATC, COL (Ret), US Army Womack Army Medical Center High Point University Josh Rabinowitz, CEO & Co-founder @ArticulateLabs Daniel Clifton PhD, ATC @USUhealthsci The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine Brian Baum, PhD MIT Lincoln Laboratory If you are interested in advancing musculoskeletal readiness and turning innovation into practice, I would be glad to see you there. @Orthokintrack @ORSsociety #MilMed #ORS_IC #Orthopedics #MSK #MedTech #DigitalHealth #Wearables #Rehabilitation #SportsMedicine #MilitaryHealth #HumanPerformance #HealthcareInnovation #TranslationalResearch #DefenseHealth #Startup #Innovation @MilOrtho

Wearable tech is moving toward smart textiles that sense physiology directly from clothing. MXene offers exceptional conductivity for sensing, while TPU provides stretchability and established medical-grade safety. Should future clinical wearables prioritize advanced nanomaterials or proven biocompatible substrates?
TechXplore@TechXplore_com

Smart textiles using MXene coatings could turn everyday clothing into health monitors and antimicrobial, solar-powered wearables that track vitals and even charge personal electronics. doi.org/hbrn92 techxplore.com/news/2026-03-s…

The Iranian regime is acting out of desperation as it loses legitimacy at home. For years, it diverted the wealth of its own people to fund repression and influence abroad, and now it seeks protection from accountability. This was evident last night when Araghchi appeared on Fox News, repeating narratives meant to mislead rather than confront reality.

All the headlines suggesting that our so-called Arab allies have intervened on behalf of Iran to avoid decisive military action by President Trump are beyond disturbing. The ayatollah’s regime has American blood on its hands. They are slaughtering people in the streets. If it is accurate that the Arab response is “action is not necessary against Iran” given this current outrageous slaughter of innocent people, then there will be a dramatic rethinking on my part regarding the nature of the alliances now and in the future.

This is not a negotiation issue. The Islamic Republic lacks legitimacy and continues to kill innocent civilians while suppressing basic rights. The priority should be supporting the Iranian people and their demand for systemic change, accountability, and a democratic future, not propping up a violent regime through talks.

ⁿᵉʷˢ Barron Trump 🇺🇸
🚨 BREAKING Iran has CALLED President Donald Trump. A meeting is being set up. And Trump makes it clear nothing is off the table. “The leaders of Iran are tired of being beat up by the United States. Iran wants to negotiate. Yes.” “But we may have to act because of what’s happening. Before the meeting.” Translation. Strength forced the call. Pressure forced the talks. And action is still on the table if the regime keeps playing games. This is what leverage looks like.
