#lthechat A6 that’s a great idea to get to know what they preferred to be called early on. Sally also says getting to know any special or additional needs nice and early is helpful and although they might have notified the university, it doesn’t always get through to us quickly

What’s the problem with giving real accounts with logons to the university prior to arrival? Says Sally? Because it’s easy enough to delete them if the students drop out or never actually join the course. They used to do this at Leeds Beckett years ago.

@LTHEchat A3 if possible, could you set up 'dummy' accounts before enrolment/send videos from the VLE companies to orient? Some Masters, esp international students often miss the induction, Offer a more structured walk through and not assume they know that particular platform #lthechat
