@JadeAtrophis I can do all of those things just fine, and will do them for my future husband happily. I’m just asking how y’all expect us to pay our bills if you don’t want us to work. And why a competent, hardworking woman, thats financially responsible is a turn off.

@JadeAtrophis Why would I want to be with a man that wants me to be a loser sitting on my ass mooching off of the government and other people until he plucks me up? Like what’s the alternative.

The height requirement in dating is painfully stupid. If a woman wants a guy who's taller than her, fine. Plenty of guys also want a girl who's shorter than they are. But wanting 6'+ strikes me as a trophy thing for women. I don't buy it's an innate preference because older generations didn't focus on this nearly as much. It was *nice* if your boyfriend was tall; it wasn't a requirement. And I've heard some horror stories from men: a girl showing up to the date, saying he's too short, & RUNNING AWAY. Women asking how tall the guy is as the convo opener on an app. Women can't claim they're the less superficial sex & then reject the vast majority of their dating pool. What especially bugs me is women who say everyone's allowed preferences. Wanting a guy who treats you well? Fine. Rejecting anyone who doesn't tower over you, regardless of other positive traits? Odd. And the dehumanizing language toward short men is insane. Claiming tall guys have better personalities, short guys are dangerous or angry, etc. What's especially wild: data shows height doesn't strongly impact a man's # of sexual partners. But this may change if women won't even give the 5'9" (literally average) guy a chance. The 5'9" Gen X & millennial men I knew did just fine. But Gen Z men increasingly have to impress online as opposed to IRL, so height becomes a more important factor. Even IRL, if the trend among women is to view any guy under 6' or so as a "manlet," that impacts most men. It's odd to watch women complain about objectification...and then objectify men to the point only 15% of women would give a guy who's 5'8" a shot on a dating app. I feel for young people. It's a different world now...

@LegoRacers2 This is so disingenuous. He was wrong. She also objectively broke the law when she posted that video online. She isn’t getting charged with anything SHE didn’t do. It’s gross that he has no consequences for his actions however.

It’s a bit of a reach to say reclamation of a word and using it in an ironically self-deprecating way to restore one’s dignity by taking away its power through humor is ‘black-coded.’ That’s a human tendency, for psychological relief. It’s not unique to black people. “Yankee” was one such reappropriated term. Plenty of Irish people call themselves “micks” There were women saying you shouldn’t call your girl friends “bitch” for the same reason, and honestly, who cares, bitch. I tried it for a while because I respected the opinions of the women who said you shouldn’t say it but it slipped out when bonding intimately with other women. As far as I’m concerned, it’s like a kind of shadow work, and the people closest to you can address your shadow endearingly. You can make it humorous and unifying instead of insulting

the gоу to nіggа comparison, in terms of slurs, does have a lot of interesting layered implications to unpack blаcks adopted "nіggа" into a term of endearment because they have slave morality, they revel in their subjugation, they get a sense of brotherly bond from their collective shared inferiority (in social hierarchy or intrinsically) i'll give credit to the blаcks where credit is due though, older generations of theirs often used it as an insult and would spank their kids/grandkids for using it colloquially, because they still had a sense of pride and desired to be better than how they were seen by the white man. unfortunately over time the reality became that most just can't live up to that, so they collectively across their culture abandoned the desire to do so and saw that standard as oppressive instead of uplifting in the case of white people the term gоу has begun to serve a sort of similar purpose. it has become an immediate term used to shame behaviour that validates the notion of our inferiority, like being a porn addict or a fast food glutton or engaging in bread and circus sportsball worship. anything that is cattle-like has the gоу slur hurled at it by whites themselves as a way of shaming to uplift the universal standard of excellence we are to hold ourselves to it has also become a sort of term of endearment similar to nіggа, though when i hear it used in such a way it tends to be layered in a lot of irony (chudgоуclique make a foidshake), similar to how people wear the truecel badge of honor in a sort of self deprecating self flagellating manner. basically a way of saying "we're not taking this so seriously, we're having fun with it" then there are the whites who also use it as a term of endearment but are taking it very seriously, "gоуim pride", and this i do tend to find very silly not because i don't think we have anything to be proud of but it is very blаck-coded to do such a thing. i will give them this though that unlike blаcks doing this pride thing, whites have actually accomplished a lot civilizationally without jеws having to be involved in any way, yet blаcks can not say the same when it comes to reliance on whites. however the blаck-supremacist narrative rarely surrounds that anyway, probably because they know they can't make the civilization argument unless they flat out lie and claim the achievements of others (common), usually making it about "muh dick" or some other aspect of physical superiority relating to sexual selection. still, it is very cringe to me to see whites try and do this with the term just because it seems very forced and i don't think it'll stick, partially because it doesn't roll off the tongue the same way, and also because i think we have higher accountability as a people and so we can take an insulting term on the chin better as a sense of self reflection because we DO have the agency to hold ourselves to a higher standard and disprove anyone who would prejudge us as lesser it also doesn't fully stick for me as a term to take very seriously as a sort of "brotherhood pact" since technically gоу applies to any gentile, so an indian and an african are just as much a gоу as a white person, but of course it is predominantly white people using this term because every other group has white people above them to point a finger to and blame for their problems and be entitled towards i don't know if i said everything i have to say on this subject, but that's sort of all my immediate thoughts on it. stop watching porn gоу

the erika kirk thing is interesting to me, bc it reeks entirely of a memetic virus. i'm not really ideologically aligned with erika, as i'm not religious and i don't really think her personal life is even consistent with the supposed biblical roles she thinks men and women ought to live up to. but there's nothing about her that inspires this kind of outsized outrage and obsession over her i see among the far left and right, men and women, alike. the idea that erika kirk is this evil mossad agent who potentially killed her husband or at the very least is up to some very shady stuff and is faking her grief has been repeated so many times, it's become its own form of reality bc enough people have believed and repeated it. now it takes on a life of its own and serves to justify any dehumanization she continues to suffer. memetic viruses are the biggest danger the social media age posits: online narratives have the potential to be constructed, circulated, piled-on, and becomes its own virality beast that it's like a form of social hypnotization. it's made worse by anonymity (don't have to stake your own reputation in how you treat others or what you spread about them) and the general schadenfreude and antisocial tendencies that have been emboldened by social media use (people's lives and seeming successes are too close to view, so we froth at the mouth when they get 'humbled.'
Maggie@maggiemoda

The people bullying Erika Kirk have been morally corrupted by sustained exposure to internet outrage. It’s painfully clear to the rest of us that these people are deranged and they cannot see it themselves.

Yeah she's Christian. "Forgive them father, for they know not what they've done." People don't understand because Christianity has been shamed and vilified to the point that some churches have been forced to embrace anti-biblical ideals. "I'm not a regular church, I'm a cool church with a rainbow flag. Who does that God guy think he is to tell us how to live?" Blasphemy.
