@TheLincoln I think it often comes down to which team is yours. If you're a NYY fan, for example, you want to see them go deep every season, whereas the rest of the country wants to see them lose every conceivable game. And that turns Yankee fans even more hardcore!

I think most people align with both. I was rooting for most of the underdogs in the WC, but we got a lot of great games. Would have loved to see England win yesterday, but can't be mad about such a wild game.
My dream final would have been, like, Japan v USA. But come on.
