I think it sucks that you have to go to so many different kinds of doctor to take care of yourself. It's the 21st century. I should be able to go to a single office where they scan me with a big xerox machine and tell me what I'm allergic to and why my tummy hurts and if I have any cancer or cavities or if my glasses prescription has changed. And then I should get a sticker.

Your smart TV is taking screenshots of your screen every 15 seconds. Not a guess. Not a theory. A peer-reviewed study by researchers at UC Davis, UCL, and UC3M tested it. Samsung TVs: every minute. LG TVs: every 15 seconds. Even when you're just using it as a monitor. Here's how to turn it off for every brand:

@UltraDane I would be failing that class, too. Does she come with subtitles? Does anyone do well in that class?

@jessicabishop86 @TONYxTWO Your husband is one lucky guy. Imagine if you decided to try to work it out...

“What a horrible sight to see. She has a baby. She is pregnant, and she’s pushing the stroller of the two babies while he just sits his ass and watches the unleashed dog. While she struggles with a baby and a purse in her hand while she’s pregnant. That sucks.”
As a husband and a father of 3, this is hard to watch. Men need to do better.

@jessicabishop86 @TONYxTWO Talk to him. Ask him to do something specific. If he randomly tries to help, I am sure you get pissed. Train him to help the way you want it.

@sappholives83 I can't imagine that anyone having intercourse with this person would know the difference between this surgical monstrosity and a God-made vagina.

@Paul_L_OBrien town, I bet they would have all the details on who to contact for all that stuff.
God bless you and your mom. Praying for you both.

Alzheimer’s caregiving is exhausting, overwhelming, and extremely lonely. My world consists of taking care of my 89 year old mom 24/7 by myself. I am happy that I can take care of my mom, but I’m always sad, depressed, and isolated. I had surgery on March 19th, and now my incision has reopened because I haven’t been able to take care of myself. All you caregivers are not alone. We are in this together.
English

@Paul_L_OBrien There is probably a church or another group in your area that can help with your care. You need a bit of respite. I am sure you can even qualify for a meal delivery service (either free or discounted) to take one more thing off your plate. Call a church secretary in your

What kind of home bodyshame or fatshame their five year old child?
I picked up my neighbor’s five year old son last weekend, the way I always do swinging him high into the air with a playful grin.
But this time, he didn’t laugh.
He didn’t squeal with delight or wrap his small arms tightly around my neck like he used to. Instead, he went limp in my grasp. Those once bright eyes, now heavy with exhaustion no child should ever carry, met mine as he whispered:
“Put me down. I’m too heavy.”
I froze mid motion, my heart clenching.
“What do you mean, buddy?” I asked softly, searching his face.
He only shrugged, a small, resigned movement that shattered something inside me. It wasn’t defiance or confusion it was acceptance. As if he had already filed this painful truth away in his young heart and moved on.
He's only five. Just a baby.
I pulled him closer, holding him tighter against my chest. “You’re not too heavy,” I said, my voice thick with emotion. “You’re perfect. Exactly the way you are.”
He didn’t respond. He simply rested his head on my shoulder and fell silent.
That silence… it wrecked me more than any words ever could.
As I held him, I couldn’t stop wondering: Who was the first adult to plant that poison in his mind?
Which voice in his home looked at this innocent child and decided he needed to know he was “too much”?
He used to race to the door the moment he heard my voice, his laughter echoing through the hallway like sunlight. Now, at family gatherings, he sits tucked away in corners, quiet and unnaturally still.
A little boy already learning how to make himself disappear.
I cried in my car on the way home that evening not just because someone had called him heavy, but because he believed it. Deeply. Completely.
He’s only five years old, and he already believes he’s a burden.

Hi @Prada.
I’m a woman and I have a young daughter.
Do you think that we are inspired to buy this dress, when you put it on a young man?

English

@Her_Nonymous_D You mean that your sweet little human isn't just an accessory that you can leave in the car or put in a closet when you don't want to deal with them?
BTW, as a 55 yo woman, I miss baby noises, and I would not give you dirty looks or expect you to lower the volume.

I’m convinced some people forget that babies are… babies. They don’t have mute buttons, and they definitely don’t know how to “keep it down.”
I went to a car seat safety class yesterday, just trying to do the responsible parent thing. My baby was sitting there, babbling softly, not crying, not screaming, just making little sounds like babies do. Nothing disruptive.
Then the instructor stops and says, “Can you quiet him down?” I paused, because… what?
I looked at her and said, “You want the baby to be quiet?” In disbelief and she goes, “We’re used…

I got a call from a lady a little bit ago about needing some repairs in her house. She has some water piping that’s leaking, a few bad light switches, a shower that needs the faucets repaired and a few smaller things. Come to find out, her husbands funeral is Tuesday and she has family coming in tomorrow. You could tell she was upset, and very apologetic for calling early Sunday. I told her I’ll be heading over today to get everything fixed. No charge. Knowing how I was when I lost my wife 10 years ago, I know she’s going through enough. This one’s one me.

@USATRUMPMAN1 I am not familiar with blue bonnets. They are breathtaking! Do they have a fragrance?

@deaflibertarian I don't know you, and just from our limited interactions I would like to learn ASL. I don't have anyone to use it with.

A successful doctor who happens to wear cochlear implants and has excellent speech once met with me to discuss a medical study, not related to deafness. He brought up our common ground. He told me he wished he grew up signing. He took off his magnetic pieces. "Now I am totally deaf, like you." I nodded. "But I cannot communicate with you. I wish they understood I am, and will always be, deaf." He put his implants back on. He waited for the interpreter, who was with us, to finish, and I gave him a sympathetic smile. Then he said what many kids have told me. "You're lucky, they let you be you."
I gently offered to give some resources to learn ASL, if he was interested. He shook his head. "No one in my life will learn it for me."
That conversation still haunts me. And I understand. No one in my life learned for me either.

@mymomcare I have a minor in advertising and public relations. I have never used that part of my degree from 1996, but I am willing to come and give it a whirl to help ya'll out...

@HemmerleinLee I was in a store & purchased a stack of 6 bowls that were nested together. The cashier rang it up as 1 & bagged them. I said nope, you missed 5 bowls, & I really don't want you to get in trouble. She was thankful, but surprised. I guess that people don't do the right thing often.

I went to a new feed store today and got minerals for the cows and a bag of seed mix for a food plot and maybe summer grazing for the cows. I got up to the register and they rang it up and told me my bill. I said that can't be correct. They looked at me and started to explain. And I am like no that is too low and after seeing how they entered it I quickly understood what had happened. They had looked at the food plot mix per pound and did not account for the fact I had bought a 50# bag and was going to charge me for 1#. They were happy that I would correct their oversight and gave me a discount on the bag purchase. I figured someone would get into trouble for that big of an error.

@HazelAppleyard They DON'T pass. It's true, and even my clueless husband can pick them out from a mile away now.
