Attention, random men who tell women they don’t even know to “SMILE.”
Stop it immediately. You don’t know me or anything that’s going on in my life, and you’re are not entitled to a smile just because you demand one.
It’s icky. Do better.
Thanks for coming to my #tedtalk

Really, #wordle1490? I mean, I got it, but then had to look up a definition. I don’t recall ever seeing that word, so I guess I learned something new.

@FarmChicJodi I’m so sorry, Jodi. It’s so hard seeing your dad decline, and dementia is a terrible thing. There, but not “in there” is so very heartbreaking. Thinking of you and your family. ❤️🩹

It's been a while since I've done #DementiawithDad. The last 3 weeks have been wild. He's starting to not recognize people & places, time & seasons aren't a thing, day & night are interchangeable, he's talking to people that aren't here. His eyes are fine but his mind isn't.

@tesxsovt @GuntherEagleman Your use of the R word as a slur in the year 2025 should be cause for reflection.

48 years later, the message still holds.
We’re feeding more people than ever before and chemistry continues to play a critical role.
From fertilizers that replenish soil nutrients to crop protection that prevents devastating losses, modern agriculture relies on science to grow more with less.
Yet, the fear of "chemicals" persists.
Despite the fact that everything - yes, everything is made of chemicals.
Water is a chemical.
Vitamins are chemicals.
Nature itself is a giant chemistry lab.
The real question isn’t “Is it natural?”
It’s “Is it safe, effective, and used responsibly?”
The world needs more science-literate conversations about food, not fewer.
Because when we lose trust in the tools that feed us, we risk turning back the clock on progress.

@DLT_Farmer Glyphosate is only used in a small percentage of U.S. grown wheat production- up north where they have a short growing season. The vast majority dries down naturally, no desiccant needed.
English

@LindsayKimbrell "The herbicide, glyphosate, is applied to wheat crops before harvest to encourage ripening resulting in higher glyphosate residues in commercial wheat products within North America."

In a committee hearing today, I heard a lawmaker claim that wheat is ‘drenched’ in glyphosate and that GM foods are harmful. That myth about glyphosate on wheat has been debunked countless times, if you’re still clinging to it, it’s time to step out of this lane. Your coffee has more carcinogens.
And as for GM foods being bad, starvation is worse.

Reflecting on @SecRollins visit to Kentucky as she engaged with farmers, agricultural leaders, and KDA staff to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the industry. We appreciate her time and leadership in supporting American agriculture.
English

@scottwestacre Yes, I misspoke. Not GMO, genetically altered. And I never said glyphosate is sprayed on growing wheat. But it’s used as a pre-emergent and a drying agent prior to harvest.
English

Think I better introduce some facts:::
American wheat is NOT genetically modified. So it is not bastardized
Glyphosate kills green growing wheat. So farmers never spray growing wheat w it
On the high plains we rarely use glyphosate as a harvest aid as it rarely works
UncleRay@RZBuckeye1
I absolutely do not blame farmers at all. It starts long before they are even involved. American wheat is so bastardized from genetic modifications that it not only has virtually no nutritional value, but it actually is no longer something our bodies recognize as food. Then it’s sprayed with glyphosate while growing and more glyphosate to dry the grain. All these people who think they’re glucose intolerant are just reacting to the poisoned, indigestible grain we call wheat.
