My daughter starts Kindergarten in 3 weeks. School told us 1 of 2 K teachers just quit. Eep! It's a lovely Expeditionary Learning School in Denver. Project based learning, outdoor adventures and camping trips. A really cool job. Posting here: odysseydenver.org/get-involved/w…

@MurphyWoodhouse I've also experienced the other side, working in an industry I hated. Talk about a grind! With that perspective, I'd gladly feed the beast if that's the price of admission to my dream job reporting for public radio.

@MurphyWoodhouse I think of spots as a chance to connect with listeners and build recognition. When I can, treat them as a leading edge to future feature work. Building my own knowledge base on a topic I want to dive into more deeply down the line. Obvs doesn't always work.

@hberkes Short answer... no. Talking to a bunch of growers today it seems like it'll be a banner year! But with Georgia Peach situation and the unusually cool weather we've been having on Colorado's front range, I had to worry!
