@sadukie @nnja @mrxinu @digitaldrummerj I don't think the partial streaming was a good idea. Folks either wanted to watch the videos on their own time or watch the whole thing live. Would not do that the way I did again.

@sadukie @nnja @mrxinu @digitaldrummerj Conference participants interacting in Zoom and everyone on Slack is how I organized it. It think it was great. Talks were pre-recorded. I streamed parts of the talks and had Q&A with the speakers live with folks asking questions in Slack that I relayed to the speakers live.

Just when I started thinking I knew a thing or two about a thing or two, I am now realizing Socrates was right.

Chemo fried the nerves in my hands. Can't feel the strings. Can't feel the pick. Thought I would never play again. 10 months later, here I am. Still have nerve damage. Super sloppy. Not the same. But I'm playing. Post cancer is weird. Don't give up. You can get your life back!

Today has been the hardest day ever in my professional career. A lot of hard conversations had with various people that I enjoy working with. All I can do now is pause, reflect, and tackle tomorrow anew.

I've been trying to distill my thoughts on vertical slices. I think it ultimately comes down coupling & cohesion. The goal has always been low coupling, high cohesion. It's kind of a push/pull against each other. I think the sweet spot has been vertical slices.
