My Marinella lost her foal three weeks ago now. Unfortunately, even the vet couldn't save him, he was born after a long labor, with no life. I felt all her pain and it was a really sad moment. Her care was these puppies, she adopted them and loves spending time cuddling and getting their tail bitten. Being able to witness these moments is the biggest blessing I have ♥️

🚨 BURNLEY MAN BANNED AFTER DOGS SET ON BADGERS, DEER AND FOXES A Burnley man has been banned from keeping animals for five years after footage showed his two lurchers being used in repeated violent encounters with wildlife including badgers, deer, foxes and hares. Jack Hindle, from Avon Court in Burnley, admitted multiple animal welfare and wildlife offences following an investigation involving Naturewatch Foundation, Lancashire Police’s Rural Task Force and the RSPCA Special Operations Unit. The case began after animal welfare charity Naturewatch Foundation submitted a wildlife crime intelligence package to police in May 2024. Officers later executed a warrant alongside specialist RSPCA investigators and a veterinary surgeon. The investigation uncovered footage showing Hindle encouraging and allowing his dogs, Doris and Woody, to pursue and attack wild animals in what prosecutors described as persistent illegal hunting activity. Video evidence reviewed during the case showed the dogs repeatedly engaging in violent confrontations with wildlife while suffering serious injuries themselves, with little or no intervention. An RSPCA investigating officer described the footage as “clear evidence” that the dogs had been persistently used in hunting situations resulting in repeated injuries consistent with clashes with wildlife. Veterinary evidence presented to the court revealed one dog had suffered severe wounds including deep lacerations exposing tendons. The vet concluded both dogs had routinely been placed in dangerous situations with no adequate attempts to control or protect them. Further footage examined during the investigation also contained evidence linked to suspected illegal badger baiting activity. Both dogs were seized by police in December 2024. Hindle pleaded guilty to four offences, including two under animal welfare legislation and two relating to crimes against badgers. As well as the five-year disqualification order banning him from keeping animals, the court imposed a 12-month community order, 15 rehabilitation activity days, £600 in costs, an £80 fine and a £32 victim surcharge. Chief Inspector Will Mitchell, from the RSPCA Special Operations Unit, said the case highlighted the suffering inflicted on both wildlife and the dogs involved. “The impact on both wildlife and dogs in this case is extremely upsetting,” he said. “All animals deserve to be treated with kindness and compassion and this result should act as a warning that such behaviour will not be tolerated.” Jim Clark, Campaign Manager at Naturewatch Foundation, said the case demonstrated the importance of reporting suspected wildlife abuse and the role of specialist investigations in tackling organised cruelty offences involving animals.

Craddock guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to an American bulldog called Ocean. The RSPCA investigated Craddock after she took Ocean’s skeletal remains to a local vet practice on June 13, 2025. The deceased pet, who was wrapped in a duvet, was covered in faeces and urine. Examination found that she was extremely emaciated with sunken eyes. She weighed just 7kg against an ideal weight for her breed of around 30kg. Craddock reportedly told the vet that Ocean had been “off her food for several days and she was hand-feeding her”. However, a post-mortem concluded that the dog had died from prolonged starvation. She had little muscle fat and was also suffering from pressure sores. There was evidence that she had eaten her own faeces in her desperation for food. Handing out a rare immediate prison sentence, magistrates told Craddock that having viewed the “distressing” photos of Ocean’s body, they could not accept that she was unaware that the dog was suffering.
