I agree, so long as we can genuinely opt out if we want. There was an article about this recently, in which a number of customers signed up for a similar plan (via Ford I think?) and saved money until they did something like exceed the speed limit on a single highway trip. Then their rates went up. That’s not Ford or Teslas fault, of course, and it’s an anecdote so who knows the backstory. It’s still interesting to consider the pros and cons of realtime monitoring to lower your insurance.

It’s patently absurd that Apple isn’t smart enough to make their own AI, yet is somehow capable of ensuring that OpenAI will protect your security & privacy! Apple has no clue what’s actually going on once they hand your data over to OpenAI. They’re selling you down the river.
