@Jonas_dph @fuserleer We need 500 shard groups, it would be great to have each group decentralized, so I assume 16 validators would be necessary for each shard. And what if there was a bet created for the test results? 🤔

Thanks to @fuserleer and community here we have real evidence of 100K TPS on #Radix 🚀 So the next step is 1M TPS Test, but to do it around 8000 validators are needed. 🤔 In the world, according to Times Higher Education, there are over 2,800 universities. If each university were to participate in such a speed test, and a similar number of IT companies (there are probably at least 30,000 SaaS companies) were involved, it would be feasible. If a good argument for CSR could be found, companies like @redbull might sponsor the buzz around the project. “The fastest decentralized computer in the world” Hehe, I'm dreaming big 😜

This is what rhymed GenAI thinks of Radix based on @Adam_XRD great manifesto: Radix pioneers the Web3 scene, crafting beyond scaling, a global dream. Secure, swift, it's the future's beam. Act Early, seize the unseen.
Adam_XRD@Adam_XRD

Most are still sleeping on the revolution already happening on Radix. Since 2013, Radix has been at the forefront of "solving" scalability to ensure Web3 can serve the entire globe. But think Radix is all about scaling? Or that it's just a case of waiting for the Xi'an release? Think again. Radix is crafting a global asset layer – a realm where users and builders can confidently own, program, transact, and use assets/identities. This isn't about meeting the status quo or marginal gains; it's about making radical improvements to the global financial system for everyone. Is scalability a part of that? Absolutely – it's crucial. Fast finality and low fees are non-negotiable, which is why Radix dedicated years to R&D, perfecting Cerberus for true linear scalability and atomic composability. What about user experience? Non-negotiable. The fear of losing assets or confusion about transactions? Not on Radix. The Radix Wallet, Transaction Manifests, and Personas are just the beginning of a full-suite of tech aimed at demystifying DeFi. Empowering builders with a great developer experience? Fundamental. Without a secure and intuitive environment for developers, innovation and competition stalls. Scrypto and the Radix Engine are the answers to fostering rapid ecosystem growth while also minimizing the risks of hacks that plague the industry. So sure, with the Cerberus consensus, the Cassandra Research Network, and the impending Xi'an upgrade, we're ready to solve scalability and set the stage for an ecosystem where builders and users can thrive. But remember - the focus isn't "when", it's now. What's already live on the Radix mainnet is not just groundwork; it's a powerful full-stack of technology that fulfils the Web3 vision for the future. Radix isn't just preparing for tomorrow; it's living it today. So if you've been on the sidelines waiting for the "right moment" with Radix, it’s time to wake up. The future isn't just coming; it's already here, and by not exploring Radix now, you might just miss out on being part of history in the making.

Maybe it’s wishful thinking (will see) but my conclusion based on the list and comments is that still Radix is the best L1 to invest and build on. I believe Justin will add Radix to his list as soon as Xi’an update is released. Otherwise I will end up like Cardano fan with a great community, but with futureless technology.

Great work even if I can’t see my favorite L1 listed. If I don’t agree I can always do my own list with my own methodology. But thanks to @Justin_Bons effort I can quickly check what are alternatives and compare with my expectations and beliefs.
Justin Bons@Justin_Bons

Solana is broken; it fails to meet demand! Before leaving crypto, try other chains! Here are all L1s in the top 100 based on decentralization & scalability:🧵 BTC - Low capacity❌ BNB - Centralized❌ ETH - At capacity & centralized L2s❌ SOL - At capacity (parallelization)❌ XRP - Centralized❌ DOGE - Low capacity❌ TON - High capacity (sharding)✅ ADA - Low capacity❌ AVAX - Has capacity✅ BCH - High capacity (simple)✅ DOT - Has capacity✅ TRON - Has capacity✅ NEAR - High Capacity (sharding)✅ ICP - Has capacity✅ LTC - Low capacity❌ APT - High capacity (parallelization)✅ ETC - Low capacity❌ FIL - Has capacity✅ ATOM - Has capacity✅ XLM - Centralized❌ HBAR - Centralized❌ VET - Centralized❌ KAS - High capacity (simple DAG)✅ FTM - High capacity (DAG)✅ XMR - Has capacity✅ TIA - Low capacity❌ SUI - High capacity (parallelization)✅ ALGO - Centralized❌ SEI - High capacity (parallelization)✅ BSV - High capacity (simple)✅ EGLD - High capacity (sharding)✅ XEC - High capacity (simple)✅ QNT- Has capacity✅ WLD - Has capacity✅ NEO - Centralized❌ XTZ - High capacity (sharding)✅ EOS - High capacity (parallelization)✅ MINA - Low capacity❌ KAVA - Has capacity✅ IOTA - Centralized❌ KSC - Has capacity✅ A harsh truth distilled in a few words for each chain, as you either have the capacity or not To explain my methodology: Anything below 100 TPS is low capacity, anything above 1k TPS is high capacity. TPS is counted based on how many simple 1 to 1 TXs fit within a single block Any blockchain with permissioned elements is considered "centralized," deal with it! In brackets, I also highlight what scaling tech is being used, as the truth is that it is not possible to scale a blockchain without using some sort of exotic tech The exception is "simple" chains; without Turing complete smart contracts, no exotic scaling tech is required at all Sharding remains my favorite approach, as the upper limit can exceed 1M TPS! Parallelization has a lower total capacity but is significantly faster DAGs are theoretically infinitely scalable but come with other trade-offs, such as more difficulty in tracking a single global state Ultimately, we want cryptocurrency to succeed & it can only succeed if it is scalable. The recent failures in SOL are disappointing, which makes it all the more important to drive this message home hard Blockchains can scale to meet demand despite the recent growing pains!

Everyone who followed the development of telecommunication infrastructure knows that investing in enhancing 3G networks to cope with scaling challenges rather than new 4G and then 5G infrastructure was a bad mistake. These enhancements were akin to L2 solutions, attempting to build on the existing infrastructure to improve performance without a fundamental change in the underlying technology. Now, everyone knows how it ended. If you don’t want to use 3G to Video Calls how can you imagine using L2s for future blockchain. And if you are developer and you invest not only money but also your time of life, there is no other choice. I already have my 5G.
Justin Bons@Justin_Bons

Ethereum is failing & "L2 scaling" is the reason for its downfall: Refusing to scale the L1 is equivalent to surrender This is corruption; L2s pay devs, media & VCs far more than the L1 can! Because L1s are public goods, whereas L2s enable rent-seeking by for-profit companies!

A dispute between an inquisitive analyst and the crypto community, which shows how easy it is to transfer the most important point of the dispute to an insignificant detail. But what is most dangerous for every community is that such a vehement defense can lead readers to believe that the project has a serious problem. And the real substantive discussion will probably remain hidden in Space, which only a few people will listen to.
Justin Bons@Justin_Bons

Wow, the first time I got a "community note" & it is hilariously wrong They claim EDI is not "ADA-backed," & in the same sentence say IOG funded the EDI... IOG is literally the same company that created ADA! The EDI puts ADA on top of all chains, that stinks of cherry-picking:

Great example what one can predict observing the main trends in #Crypto industry. I’d love to see it differently, but it’s not possible without wide implementation of #Radix idea on UX and Security.

Just as it is not possible to build a house out of wood - safe, long-lasting and resistant to weather conditions, it is not possible to build a safe, scalable and easy-to-use blockchain for DeFi based on technology that was created when no one had heard of DeFi. This does not mean that there are no people who build wooden houses. Only persistent education through real use cases can overcome trends, habits and marketing. Come on communities, let’s show real use cases.
Justin Bons@Justin_Bons

Modern sharded chains are now capable of achieving 100k+ TPS With theoretical limits approaching 1M+ TPS! All while keeping node requirements relatively low, effectively solving the blockchain trilemma! As traditional chains, conversely, still suffer from crippling limitations
