Engines, aggregates, accessories, and avionics are usually supplied as kits. Even when these are manufactured within India, foreign OEMs maintain tight control over critical parts, technology, processes, and raw materials. The whole “Delhiites don’t take the metro” is such a false accusation, look at this Hauz Khas metro station literally at capacity. A few more people and the crowd will overspill. The Golden line needs to be expedited and West Delhi needs a direct metro to Gurgaon.
