@itsmeleaky Cinematic just refers to the style of video. In Fortnite’s case it’s a high quality animation- that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the full season trailer we get before launch. There has been plenty of cinematic trailers that aren’t the season trailer

Even though the trailer is labeled “Cinematic Trailer,” I refuse to believe this is THE cinematic trailer. The trailer focuses on the squid dudes’ reality for it to be the main cinematic. If I had to guess, every character cinematic we get will probably just be labeled as “Cinematic Trailer.”

Ranked≠comp RL’s ranking system is absolutely better than Fortnite’s. It’s much harder to reach SSL than it is to reach Unreal. That said, that doesn’t mean it is a harder game than FN. Mechanically, both games are very close in terms of difficulty to master but FN has much more layers that make it harder (building, editing, aiming, game sense, rotations, etc)

Wasn't there a guy who got to the highest rank in fortnite competitive by just hiding in a bush the whole game every game.

@MartinieGame The inconsistency is definitely annoying but this style is what the game needs. Burbank and the sharp edges gives the UI so much character

When you finally thought Epic had their UI design consistent across multiple UIs, they change it again for the new BR mode selection UI.. 🥴 (like we have completely different buttons again lol)

@FNBRintel Absolutely love to see this style not being completely lost in the UI. Burbank and sharp edges just looks amazing and fits the game so well Epic needs to make a full return because right now they seem confused on which UI style to use

@raheedFN @AyubFNLore I remember seeing part of Tilted Towers inside of an ice cave, and it was cool as hell.

How has it LOST its charm? I’m the biggest preservationist when it comes to FN’s style/graphics/artstyle and I’m usually the one advocating for return to the old but not this. For the first time epic actually made a change to the UI that brought BACK that CH1-3 design language with the uneven button shapes and abstract design. I understand the argument against the new UI in terms of placement with elims, players, storm counter. But in terms of design/appearance, absolutely not. The new is FAR better

Why pro players hate literally LITERALLY Everything that Fortnite does to innovate

This is the least I have played Fortnite in 6 years and I had some thoughts about it that hopefully a lot of the diehard community can resonate with. They had the perfect formula for their game from CH1-3. The story was deep and intriguing and was reflected so well all throughout the game through gameplay, quests, events, and trailers- in a way that the whole community was involved with. A BR centered game meant a unified community and a more polished game. No creative AI slop, no dead game modes. The game had a unique artstyle and creative direction that could be found in game through its graphics, and all throughout the menus and lobby. Before Fortnite started tampering with core elements of the game (graphics/artstyle, UI, movement animations, etc) community morale was far higher and the amount of pushback and complaints were much more manageable. This is all without mentioning the mass firing and the stepping-down of a beloved figure at Epic that absolutely had an effect on the game and its future. I understand that games have to grow and change to avoid being left behind but through all of the effort to stay relevant, what Fortnite was to all of us was left behind. This isn’t to say Fortnite isn’t still a great game- it is, but it will never be the special game it was ever again. That’s absolutely something we can be sad about

Fortnite has probably the highest skill ceiling of any shooter game on the market, with the extremely in-depth building system combo'd with an absurd amount of movement options and items. The problem lies elsewhere.

@Replays New modes are the last thing Fortnite needs and IMO is part of the reason for low viewership/player counts. It splits the community, thins out each mode, and divides interest. Viewers will then only watch whatever mode interests them and content creators can’t cover everything

I love Fortnite so much and I really do care about the game a ton. My question is, what can Fortnite do to bring in more Viewership to the game again? I feel like last year, Fortnite took a HUGE dip in Viewership (not the comp side). Even with Chapter 7 and Simpson release, it didn’t really make a difference, viewership is still at a low. I think we need something game changing, a new mode , completely new revamp of how BR works?

@Seqezzy Agreed. It ages the game and makes CH launches far less memorable and exciting

Said it many times but once again I wish they would stop making yearly chapters…

@zerotergt @Seqezzy CH6 would’ve played out completely differently if we had yearly chapters. Who knows what it would’ve been like

@tnealtitude This actually has serious promise If it can be polished out with transitions between animations this can be really good
