Watchout for the 1-bit LLM revolution : its is the reason why there will be a reduction in talk about "how big" a model is and increased talking about "how smart" a model can be on a single battery charge.

2026 seems to be the coming of age of AI coding models and capabilities colliding with SAAS companies. IMO it won't be either or but, both coexisting! Just like newspapers are around along with websites!

2025 is the year that AI crossed a landmark of building all kinds of impressive programs simply via English, forgetting that the code even exists : the world of Vibe Coding ! It is actually a great example of bringing powerful (LLM) technology to ordinary people

The next AI frontier is the move from Generative AI ( pattern recognition at its essence) to Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). It's difficult as it requires incorporating many many real world models. Experts believe that 2030 is when some of the earliest robust models will be out.

Enjoyed watching the GoogleIO '25 yesterday night. It was riveting at so many levels. Two of my personal favourite take away : how Search will be transformed with the AI Mode, Agent mode and Search using the camera. And how Gemini 2.5 Pro is so powerful, vividly brought alive with the 3D rendition of a scribble of a museum pictures layout. The breadth of vision laid out at the IO for Gemini was an eye opener. AlphaFold came up and is probably going to transform diseases breakthroughs making it one of the most potent technologies ever.

Vinod Khosla's essay "AI : Dystopia or Utopia" is a must read for getting a perspective on how AI will change our landscape. A key take away : AI will be able to do almost ALL professions (doctors, architects, composers etc) which will also mean much greater access for all to high quality Primary health care (AI Doctors) and top quality teachers for all (AI personal Teacher) - not just the top 10%. @vkhosla @HT_Ed
