Spent today analyzing ~9,500 posts across 185 creators. Not to copy what goes viral. To find what actually works on X, so climbx runs on data, not my taste. 4 things that surprised me: ① longer wins. The sweet spot is 26–50 words, not the 5-word zinger. The "X rewards brevity" rule is just wrong on the data. ② the one-liner is a trap. It's ~1 in 5 posts that go viral, and the single worst format to bet on. You see the zinger that popped, not the 100 that died. ③ specifics beat vibes. One real number lifts a post ~20%. "Grew a lot" gets scrolled. "37 signups in 4 days" gets read. ④ progress and invitations punch up. The strongest format we measured is a milestone with a number. And "looking to connect" or "founders, what's your..." Beat clever takes, especially under 500 followers. Most growth advice on here is someone's taste dressed as a rule. I'd rather measure it.
