As part of their Science learning, the children visited Shirebrook Valley where they took part in lots of differnt activities including, Identifying plants and flowers, hunting for bugs and using the viewer to see them up close. #shirebrookvalley #sheffieldRangers

The children rolled the clay flat with measuring sticks to ensure it was the same thickness and cut out the shape with a frog cutter. They then added textures with various clay tools. Finally, they mixed different shades of green and painted in acrylic paint. #eyfs

Continuing to explore water colour paints, the end of the week children developed their fine motor skills, painting their hands with brushes and then using walking fingers to create fingerprints on paper. #eyfs

The children applied their learning on rivers. They measured the width, depth & speed of the river; created a geographical sketch of the river and located its source in the moorland. Staff at the Moorland Discovery Centre were very impressed with their knowledge! @peakdistrict

Reception Class have been enjoying the story of The Little Red Hen. On Wild Wednesday last week they worked together to make their own bread. It was cooked and they all enjoyed eating it the next day. #WildWednesday #eyfs

The children had a fantastic time at the Mini Olympics yesterday. They had the chance to try lots of different sports. Miss Wragg & Mrs Russell were super impressed with their behaviour and determination. Well done everyone! Thank you to @ForgeSSP

The children enjoyed a healthy lifestyle workshop led by a team of student nurses last week.
They had short sessions on healthy eating, fitness, hand washing & oral hygiene. . #healthyliving #scienceisfun

The children created their own car wash. They used a variety of tools to clean the cars and some even decided to have a paddle! #eyfs #WildWednesday

The children had fun painting their hands & feet to print some lovely bees, grasshoppers, ladybirds, butterflies and spiders. It took a lot of concentration and some children found it quite tricky to paint the soles of their feet but they did an amazing job. #eyfs #WildWednesday

The children were designing African animal hand puppets. They made sure their:
- shading was dark to light,within the lines & all in one direction.
- colouring pencils were in 'sleep' mode.
- labels informed how joins will be made & which materials will be used. @Kapow
