Instructional Coaches, this is an example of what NOT to do when you model in a classroom for teachers. This is an aggressive approach and it's very evident the principal hasn't built a relationship with these students. Her directions are NOT clear or concise.
@votetimscott I was willing to give you an opportunity based on other talking points. With this statement, you've cemented that you'll not only not receive my vote, but I'll do my best to discourage others from voting for you. It's very disappointing.
@houstonisdwatch ...2/2..to enter. He passed on to the unfortunate classroom that had the broken lock. Locked doors are effective. Parents need to be raising all heck about this from day one.
@houstonisdwatch What was said isn't true. Both Nashville/ Sandy Hook had "robust, secure" double entry systems. The shooters simply shot through them. In Nashville, no locked doors were breached. The fatalities were in the hallways. In Uvalde, the shooter tried locked doors and was not able
Tonight or tomorrow morning, take a decision you’ve been putting off, and challenge the fuzzy “what ifs” holding you hostage.
If not now, when? If left at the status quo, what will your life and stress look like in six months? In one year? In three years? Who around you will also suffer?
@houston_tsta@houstonisdwatch My source says he also skipped over the slide explaining the cutting process on the percentages paid to each level. A question was asked, however, about same and he vaguely explained. He also said repeatedly that teachers "would" waive the evaluation in the non schools. #sneaky
@houstonisdwatch He asked the teachers if an effective ELA teacher should be paid more than an effective Elective Teacher most teachers said no. Then he said the teachers weren't clapping enough. No Clapping = not in agreement
@houstonisdwatch This seems a little tone deaf on ROE's part to post, but nobody begrudges them a wonderful library. Just wish all kids had the same. #notequitybyanystretch
@houstonisdwatch The lady who spoke about the library as refuge for kids that have a hard time in class or with core teachers was SPOT ON. This was the case at my first school. Kids who had problems came to the library to do little jobs, hang out, TALK about things sometimes, and cool off.
@houstonisdwatch At this point, he's not only dangerous to our kids, but embarrassing and cringe to our city. What companies would want to locate here and pay tax dollars to a city with unelected representation - in addition to uncertain public schools (more than they EVER were before)?
@houstonisdwatch I was at the meeting. He was rude and disrespectful to many speakers. Once he realized there was very little support in the room, it was over for him and he pretty much went out of body. This little school- which has an A rating as late as 2019, has been destroyed by this change.
@houstonisdwatch They are closed and locked for security....the only security that teachers have for the most part. That's an unbelievably stupid call.
@CNN is lucky to have @AudieCornish She's fire intelligent and not only a great voice, but has excellent television presence. I'm glad she's commenting on the House mishagah.
