@joe_branch48 @zicozay @mmmmmmsarah @jkamckenzie No he clearly says there needs to be indisputable evidence that it wasn't a goal in order to overturn the call on the ice. So it can be reviewed and in most cases the camera angles will be clear enough to verify but in some they wont. "Motive" doesn't mean what you think it means

@zicozay @mmmmmmsarah @jkamckenzie So if the ref calls it a goal by your motive we shouldn’t even review it bc the refs says it’s good? Dumbass, clearly didn’t cross after review. That’s what it’s for.

@erekzoolander @MuzzyX88 @davidalter The ref can't call it a goal if he didn't see it cross the line. He called it a goal. He was also standing maybe 5 feet away. Are you saying it's impossible for a ref to see the puck cross the line and camera angles block the view?

@raisingright04 @MuzzyX88 @davidalter Your missing the fact that it has to cross the line for it to be called a goal .. you can’t say well we have no proof it crossed the line with 5 different camera angles but hey the ref standing 30 feet away and called it a goal so we good

Yeah, the NHL needs goal-line tech. There is no way to no for sure with all the obstruction out there if it went across or not.

@erekzoolander @MuzzyX88 @davidalter You're missing the fact that the ref called it a goal. He can't call it a goal unless he sees it cross the line. If he is unsure he doesn't make a call and reviews but he called it a goal. His call needed to be overturned.

@raisingright04 @MuzzyX88 @davidalter if it doesn’t cross the line there’s no proof it went in .. I’m not a league official lol ..but you need to clearly see the puck crossed the line no matter what in any situation.. a ref can’t just call it a goal .. the burden of proof refers to the challenge.. there was none

@erekzoolander @MuzzyX88 @davidalter So your example doesn't apply. If the ref sees the puck go in and calls it a goal the video review needs to conclusively prove it didn't go in. There are times when the ref can see the puck go in that the cameras can't. The situation room can't say no without conclusive proof.

@raisingright04 @MuzzyX88 @davidalter No it says right in the rule Toronto determines every one if its a goal .. then if you wanna challenge a play after that’s when call on the ice stands .. so say that was kicked in and that play happened you wouldn’t be able to review cause it wasn’t called a goal

@erekzoolander @MuzzyX88 @davidalter The ref calling it a goal is the determination that it was in. As I said, if the ref wasn't sure he could have just stopped the play without calling it a goal and then went for the review.

@raisingright04 @MuzzyX88 @davidalter before any of that even happens it states in the rules it has to be determined if the puck crosses the line .. even if you watch the replay the ref has no fuckin clue and tkachuk says it’s in and he saktes over and calls it a goal lol

@erekzoolander @MuzzyX88 @davidalter No it needs to be able to overturn the call on the ice. If anything the ref messed up and shouldn't have called it a goal if he wasn't sure. There can easily be situations where a ref saw the puck go in from his angle and the cameras are blocked.

@erekzoolander @MuzzyX88 @davidalter Rule 37 states what can be reviewed. Rule 38 states how it is reviewed and overturned. You need to review both rules together. But you're right. I didn't think of the super secret videos they don't release to the public.

@raisingright04 @MuzzyX88 @davidalter It is true find me anywhere in the rule book that says that.. not to mention you are just assuming they don’t have conclusive evidence it didn’t go in

@raisingright04 @MuzzyX88 @davidalter They don’t have to conclusively prove it was not a goal.. it’s not the same as an offside challenge.. if they can’t tell if it crossed the line or not it is not a goal

@MuzzyX88 @davidalter It hit off the inside of his glove before bouncing out. Watch the replay again. It's when it's in the glove that the overhead camera can no longer confirm how far in the net it was. I understand the logic behind thinking it wasn't in but the video does not conclusively verify it.

@raisingright04 @davidalter The replays showed it wasn't over the line though. It hit off the post and hovered at the line while his glove, without the puck in it, moved back. I understand the point being made, but it was cut and dry

@alleria_eh Remind us which party wouldn't use the notwithstanding clause to put 2 child porn traffickers in prison for a year? Or, which party just had a convicted sex offender campaigning for them in the by-election? The L party is the party of pedophiles and sex offenders.

Flat growth and a cost-of-living crisis in a country as rich in resources and opportunity as Canada is simply inexcusable. This is entirely self-inflicted from decisions made by 11 years of Liberal government. Canada has everything we need, and everything the world wants. Mark Carney: get your Liberal government out of the way and let our workers fuel an economic boom.

Mark Carney has been wrong about every major economic question of our time. - He predicted COVID would cause deflation - He supported carbon taxes - His Net-Zero Alliance is now bankrupt and shut down - He wrote we should keep 50% of our oil in the ground - He opposed the Northern Gateway Pipeline He is an expert at making exactly the wrong call every single time.

Some immigrants who came to this country, who love this country, who assimilated into Canadian culture, are desperate for Canadian-born citizens to care more about Canada. It’s a weird feeling to know that someone like myself who wasn’t born here, wants to see Canada preserved more than some Canadians want to see their country preserved.
