Lo gracioso de haber visto en directo la caída de UK es ver cómo se repite el mismo guión aquí ahora. En 2008 en UK empiezan a salir este tipo de globos sonda en la prensa, marcando el framing de que el problema son los que venden y la facilidad de comprar cuchillos. Para 2015 el tema se convierte en debate público fuerte y se prohíben los cuchillos zombie, y finalmente en 2018 se restringe la venta y envío de cuchillos con la Weapons Bill. Como aquí todo va más rápido, si todo sale igual que en UK, en dos años tenemos legislación anti cuchillos. Espero equivocarme, claro, o que se pueda parar este despropósito. Las siguientes fases de la caída de UK no son tan graciosas.

Vandaag vieren we 81 jaar bevrijding. Maar hoe ziet die vrijheid er anno 2026 eigenlijk echt uit? Kijk naar deze foto. Een Syrische asielzoeker zit doodleuk met een machete in de bus. De Arabische tekst erbij laat weinig aan de verbeelding over: “We hakken jullie koppen eraf.” Dit is geen incident. Ik zie dagelijks dit soort accounts op social media: jonge kerels die trots poseren met wapens, geld en dure spullen, ik zie ze fatbikes stelen met slijptols, en allemaal wonen ze hier, in Nederland. Is dit waar de Canadezen, Britten en Amerikanen voor gevochten hebben? Dit is geen bevrijding meer. Dit is een nieuwe bezetting, binnengehaald met open armen. De vraag is niet: zijn we nog vrij? De vraag is: wanneer worden we weer bevrijd?
