I was recently (while listening to dotnetrocks.com/details/1927) exposed to the Integration Operation Separation Principle (IOSP), which I hadn't heard about before. Where does this originate? Web searches suggest various recent articles, but none of them cite sources.

@cyetain If there's one effect of SARS-CoV-2 infections that's sticking out to me it's how it highlights unhealthy lifestyles. COVID-19 is a disease matching the state of the world. It attacks where exploitation is rampant, personal as well as societal. Masks will not help to cover that.

@cyetain Sure. But health is only one of many values to be balanced to lead a - well - healthy life. And plausibility is no guarantee for truth. And good will is no guarantee for good outcomes. And the primary way to avoid sickness is... a healthy lifestyle for a good immune system.

@cyetain I don't want to convince anybody to wear a mask. I just wanted to say that any communication should strive to be precise. There's a lot fuzzy, misleading, sweeping talking going on these days.

@cyetain Sorry, in my world I'm only sick if I suffer from some symptom. That's my naive definition of "to be sick". (Sure, that's not what some people would like to tell me. But I'm kinda old fashioned in this regard.) There still might be a deficit in my body - but I'm not sick (yet).

@cyetain Found this: acpjournals.org/doi/10.7326/M2… Still asymptomatic means "not sick", i.e. no COVID-19. Let's be precise. If asymptomatic spread is possible then a much higher number of infected should exist - which leads to reduction of COVID-19 and COVID-19 death *rates*.

@cyetain The problem with such simplistic depictions starts with the factual mistake that there could be „asymptomatic COVID-19 carriers“. COVID-19 is a disease. You have it if and only if you show symptoms. However you can be an asymptomatic SARS-CoV-2 carrier.

@Pelshoff TDD's claim is too big and it's activity focused, not problem oriented😯 Many devs deem it not realistic for the problem at hand. Hence it's impractical for them beyond typical show case scenarios like FizzBuzz.

30% of my filtered bubble does TDD for the majority of their coding. 70% does not. What's keeping you from using TDD more?
