So sadden to hear of passing of former UK basketball star Adrian “Odie” Smith who played for 1958 NCAA champions. Odie was one of UK’s most popular alumni and a great ambassador for UK. He was 89. Rest in Peace, Odie. Obituary for Adrian "Odie" Smith cincinnati.com/obituaries/pwo…

@NaismithTrophy Surprised he was not already inducted, certainly deserving of all honors that come his way.

A career defined by results — everywhere he coached.
Across decades on the sideline, Tubby Smith, the 2003 Werner Ladder Naismith Men's College Coach of the Year, led five different programs to the NCAA Tournament, and captured a national championship at Kentucky.
His teams made 20 postseason appearances, including nine Sweet Sixteens and four Elite Eights, with sustained success across conferences and generations.
Honored as the 2026 Naismith Outstanding Contributor to Men’s Basketball.

Sometimes, it’s so unexpected. Daughter Amy was surprised with swag package from @boogiecousins who had heard of the passing of Donna. DeMarcus always has been their favorite Wildcat. The autographed items and note brought a huge smile. Thank you DeMarcus for being so thoughtful.

@ruralj @JamesCarville Al you are correct. A first class individual.

Some folks might not think of @JamesCarville as a paragon of moral virtue simply because he has been a political consultant and sharp-tongued critic, but that's off base. He is a fundamentally moral person with a strong sense of justice, right and wrong. ncronline.org/opinion/guest-…
