India’s Nari Shakti will not tolerate or forget the insult meted out to her by Congress, TMC, Samajwadi Party and DMK when these parties voted against the nation’s women and girls in Lok Sabha and celebrated the moment with shamelessness. I was in Jammu today where I interacted with members of the fourth estate in the presence of a large contingent of empowered Nari Shakti in Jammu today. The inability of the amendment to Nari Shakti Vandan Abhinayam to pass the muster in Lok Sabha despite best and sincere efforts by PM Sh @narendramodi Ji will be remembered as a sad day for efforts to increase the political representation of women and girls in the Parliament and Assemblies. इस संशोधन की हार एक दिन विरोधी दलों की हार बनेगी। The Amendment was not about taking anything away from anyone, but about giving something to everyone. It was about giving women the rights that had been pending for 40 years, in the next elections in 2029. It was a 'Maha Yagya' to remove obstacles from their path. Had the Bill been passed, seats in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Keralam and every state would have increased. Those opposing it, failed the very people they claim to represent. But the Nari Shakti of India has only lost a small battle. It will eventually win the war.
