My cup is so full watching our amazing Middle School Sheltered Teachers collaborate and share effective EB strategies, HQIM, and reflecting on their teaching. The ideas that are being produced by this collaboration is so exciting to see!

Spanish Spelling Bees were kicked off today at @deZavalaMS. These two young ladies had us on the edge of our seats! @iisdbil_esl can't wait to see you represent your school at the District Spanish Spelling Bee in January!

Having a fun morning learning about our solar system @deZavalaMS. Students were having academic conversations and using Comprehensible Input such as visuals and an interactive word wall!

What a wonderful way to start a Tuesday Morning! GT students @TravisMSBobcats elevated the #QSSSA structure and used it to frame a classroom debate. Goes to shows that E-L-L Strategies work for A-L-L students.

@DeniseDepr leading Part 2 of our Anchor Chart: Make and Take series @SamhoustonMS. Teachers did a great job reflecting on the various anchor charts brought to PLC and collaborated on how to level up!

Today, we used @nearpod to write SCR’s over our novel. Nearpod has a place to type the response, and it records as well. We talked about speaking fluently without pauses and meditations. The kids loved it!!!

Had the privilege to watch the amazing work @MeEstrello is doing at @IrvingBowie_MS. She is intentionally pre-teaching vocabulary, using visuals, and having students writing in their Writers Notebooks! These kiddos are dominating these class novels!

Y’all know writing is my JAM. I found out today our kids at DZ beat the state avg. for the essay on STAAR AGAIN this year. My kids worked it out, with an avg score of 8.57/10! We ARE writers at DZ, and we’re kinda good at it! (Don’t use kinda in your essay, bruh!).

I'm so excited for my next adventure @iisdbil_esl! I can't wait to continue serving our Emergent Bilingual students and to work along side some of the most talented people @IrvingISD

It was a treat watching Mr. Garcia @deZavalaMS using comprehensible input to help his sheltered students prepare for their ECR. Loved seeing the kids reference it multiple times while writing! @iisdbil_esl
