Seeing couples all around me — at railway stations, in museums, on roads, in the office — and I am slowly, very slowly, trying to make peace with the fact that this might never happen with me and I might just have to learn to live alone. And that's okay, I guess?

Just another reason why most marriages happen around the same socioeconomic band. Cooking and cleaning is a menial issue amongst tertiary educated, professional couples. They have much bigger issues/goals to discuss and problem solve for.
