Pharmaceutical companies should be of high patronage in the zone too. Are you making the best of these opportunities? The goals must be in focus and the time is now if not started. Delivering the opening keynote address at the first edition of Africa for Change at ChangeNOW Summit at the Grand Palais in Paris! 🌍 With the session diving deeper on why Africa must be recognised and positioned as a leading force in the global green transition, I emphasized on the critical role of the African continent in the green transition. Africa is not only at the frontline of climate impacts; but is now developing homegrown solutions, shaping pathways, and unlocking opportunities that matter for the world. The question is no longer whether Africa should be included, but whether global systems are ready to align with the role Africa is already playing and fix the underlying issues on finance, debt crisis, scale of interventions and mistrust. It was great to also highlight how the Africa’s Next Green Leaders Accelerator (ANGLE) at the Green generation initiative ( @GGI_Kenya) is supporting a new generation of innovators and leaders advancing nature- and people-centred solutions across the continent. Africa’s future is being built now; collectively, boldly, and on our own terms. The session was beautifully moderated by Fatou Jeng! 💚
