@MatSheltonEide Another benefit of returning experience is better chance of winning early OTC games against Power 5 teams with a lot of transfers. Big advantage with Maui coming up this year.

Now my preference is that Hill returns because I’m a YUGE fan of his and wanna see him be legendary, but if we can’t get him, I think our potential is still through the roof for all that I listed above and more (plus we have open roster spots and who knows what the frosh bring)

Terrence was our statistically most efficient player this year with a team-high +7.9 BPM and 2nd best 23 PER. BUT, two other high-minute departing players (grads) tied for 9th in PER & finish 6th & 10th in BPM. Might not 1-for-1 replace T, BUT…

And everyone human should make the decision that’s right for them, get paid, etc…No real wrong way to do it….just saying as a VCU fan this feels a lot like Ace leaving. Bummer.

This is a blow, not because I don’t think we can’t replace the production, but because you have a legendary moment guy who has a great year and then poof…gone to another team. Kills the legend.

NEWS: VCU guard Terrence Hill Jr. is entering the transfer portal, he tells @LeagueRDY. The 6-foot-3 guard spent two seasons with VCU and was named All-Atlantic 10 First Team, A10 Defensive Player of the Year and A10 Most Improved Player this season. He averaged 15.0 PPG, 2.8 APG, 2.7 RPG while shooting 46.6% from the field and 37% from 3.

Phil loves his son. 😂 Beating UNC is big. It’s probably the best 1st year VCU coaching performance with Anthony Grant beating Duke in his first year also being in that conversation.
For me the biggest W has to be VCU beating Kansas in the Elite 8 to go to the Final Four though.

We had a great time in Pittsburgh watching VCU win the A-10 tournament. Pittsburgh was a great host city and VCU Alumni hosted very nice pregame events. Can’t make Greenville but go get ‘um @GoVCURamsAD and Coach Martelli!
