I found a promotional copy of The Cars debut album (Top 5 best debut) and while listening to Side B….there are HUGE differences! The segues from “Bye Bye Love” to “Moving in Stereo” to “All Mixed Up” are all gone! That’s the beauty of Side B! Would you have noticed?

All is quiet on New Year’s Day. Continuing my tradition of listening to “War” from U2 on January 1st. Any guesses what album I’ll play AFTER this one? No, it’s not a U2 album. Hint: got to see the album performed front to back in 2023.

After listening to the Glenn Frey solo album last week, I decided to take another chance on another solo Eagles album. Next up: Bernie Leadon album (“Mirror”). It’s not great. Do you have a favorite solo Eagles record? I’m guessing all choices will be Henley or Walsh records.

Next spin…a recent addition to the collection: “I’m In You” from Peter Frampton. Imagine a world where THIS album cover would be your corporate headshot. 😆 I now own 4 Peter Frampton albums. Is that too many? Do I only really need to own “Frampton Comes Alive?”

45 time again! How about some Genesis? I always thought “Follow You Follow Me” was kind of a weird single choice…until I read that they were trying to write a hit song and Mike wrote the lyrics in like 10 minutes. I assume that’s all true. It was their first US Top 40 hit.

Another “essential” compilation…this time from Blue Oyster Cult. Yes. It has cowbell. “I Love The Night” is my favorite BOC song. I have spoken. Is there an essential Blue Oyster Cult album or do I stick with this album to scratch the BOC itch?

Today’s commute soundtrack… “Euphoria” from Def Leppard (1999). Don’t hate it. More rock oriented and at least it’s not “Slang”…their previous album that I kinda hate. Anyone ever listen to this album?

Today’s commute soundtrack… Bad Company “Merchants of Cool” live concert disc. At least it has Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke on it. What’s your all time favorite Bad Company song? I’m “Shooting Star” all the way.

@PodcastRecords One of my favorite Foreigner albums. Red Line is great.

Next up…Hall of Famers Foreigner (that’s right Wayne…HALL of FAMERS) and “Head Games.” Includes “Dirty White Boy” & the title track. Didn’t realize that “Women” was a single. “Rev on the Red Line” should have been instead in my opinion. My least favorite Lou Foreigner album.

Maybe I’m a weirdo. I’ve heard KISS fans piss all over “Music from the Elder.” Yet…I found myself actually kinda liking this one. I’ve already shared some of my feelings about the KISS record I obtained recently so let’s hear your opinion about this album. Keep it or trade it?
