Because simply it's a religious promise. Non-jews are not obligated to believe in it too. You remind me of Islamists! Although I still think Israel & UAE are the only worthy countries in the middle east

About Switzerland@AbtSwitzerland·
Did you know it’s illegal in Switzerland to put glasses or contact lenses on chickens? 🇨🇭 It prevents injuries caused by reduced vision and reflects the country’s relatively strict animal welfare laws. What’s the most surprising animal welfare law you’ve heard of?👇 ℹ️ bit.ly/4rClbs8

@ArgentosJoseph @thealepalombo It depends if the client "resides" in Uruguay and their tax status in the country. Citizenship is irrelevant. If the metric is citizenship, not residency, then it violates the Uruguayan Law.

Uruguay is the most underrated country in the Western Hemisphere. The Switzerland of South America. No tax on foreign-sourced income. 11-year tax holiday on foreign dividends and interest. After that? Just 12%. Or opt for a flat 7% forever. 30+ double tax treaties, including with the US, UK, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Singapore, and the UAE. Residency? $1,500/month in provable income. Permanent residency in 6-12 months. Citizenship in 3 years if married, 5 if single. Dual citizenship allowed. 155+ countries visa-free, including the entire Schengen Area. Since 2025, perfectly usable passport for traveling purposes. Argentina is fast, but comes with worldwide taxation. Paraguay is fast and cheap, but different in lifestyle. Uruguay gives you the speed of South America with the stability of Europe and a tax regime that respects your foreign wealth. Most stable democracy in Latin America. Safest country in South America. Montevideo feels like a European city on the Atlantic coast. Punta del Este is a place I'll always carry with me: lovely. If you're building a multi-jurisdictional strategy and not looking at Uruguay, you're leaving one of the best-kept secrets in global citizenship on the table.

@ArgentosJoseph @thealepalombo But to be fair, there're cases in which foreign investment income can go totally untaxed, but this is not the mainstream usual case: it depends on the Uruguayan tax status and the type of investment income. Also, Uruguay made big changes regarding taxation last month

@random_shit1845 @thealepalombo Uruguay does not tax you on foreign earned income. there is a big offshore wealth management industry which does not get taxes because the income is earned abroad

@ArgentosJoseph @thealepalombo This is misleading! If you live in Uruguay and do the work from Uruguay (remote job/freelancing while residing there), that income is typically Uruguayan-source because the activity is performed in Uruguay, so it's taxed. It's not taxed if the work is physically performed abroad

@ArgentosJoseph @thealepalombo u mean worldwide income tax. Almost all countries tax their "residents" on worldwide income (citizenship is irrelevant). The U.S. and Eritrea tax their "citizens" (and residents too) on all their income regardless of where they live (citizenship matters here)

@BorneGreat @thealepalombo This is just a formality. Uruguay constitutionally separates citizenship from nationality (“natural citizens” ciudadanos naturales and “legal citizens” ciudadanos legales) unlike most countries.

@thealepalombo You forgot a strong feature about Uruguay: they've very strong democracy! Also, they've some direct democracy practices, alongside very few countries in the world which happen to have direct democracy
