Mahoraga can be tamed. It's just hard as fuck. There are 2 ways to (possibly) tame Big Raga. 1. Heavenly restriction user. (No CE to bind to.) 2. Master the technique and get good enough to use reversal, imaginary technique, and so on. (Obviously rare as fuck.) Sukuna tamed Mahoraga; it's not untamable. It's just hard. Megumi's personality makes it impossible for him to tame Raga alone. But it doesn't make the shikigami impossible to tame. The way Megumi sees himself: 1. When he's in a corner = raga/domain (no other way out.) 2. Raga is impossible to tame (besides for Sukuna.) 3. If he can't win, dying is better. Therefore, he cannot tame Raga because his personality prevents it. His personality puts up a wall where he can't see the possibility, only the difficulty, so he takes the easier path. Not Megumi hate. While I don't like him, this is just based on his personality. Not hate. You can't change your personality over the course of 1 day or 1 event. That's impossible physiologically. So Masamichi bridge DID NOT remove this barrier. If anything, it weakened it slightly. Megumi never removes this barrier canonically, so he never surpasses Gojo and never reaches his full potential. The internal barrier was basically: 1. Chance to die for nothing but gain enough strength to ALWAYS protect others and be there. (Chance of death is extremely high, and you WILL die alone, but if you get the power, YOU WILL be alone.) *hard path* 2. Live on and gain any strength you can to protect others, but severely less than the other way, and much higher chance at survival. (Chance to survive is EXTREMELY high and you will live with friends.) *easy path* Yuji took the hard path without hesitation. You can see it in Ep1 of S3, without even knowing he was sent to execution, he was in Tokyo hunting curses to kill them off best he could + get stronger. (Which he did.) That's why Megumi can never surpass Yuji. He took the easy path, and that path will never birth strength like the hard one.

I believe Mahoraga was created never to be tamed by a pure Ten Shadows user.
