President @JDMahama is in Doha, Qatar, to participate in the Doha Forum 2025 at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar.
Mr Mahama who arrived in Doha on Saturday morning will make two critical interventions during the Forum, an opening remark on “Education as Justice in Times of Crisis” and join a panel to discuss Economic Empowerment in Africa: Pathway to Inclusive Prosperity.
President Mahama will also hold talks with H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar.
The president traveled to Doha aboard a Qatar Airways Executive Jet provided by the State of Qatar and will leave Doha on Sunday.

Generating Transition States of Chemical Reactions via Distance-Geometry-Based Flow Matching
1. A novel framework named TS-DFM is proposed to predict transition states (TSs) of chemical reactions by leveraging distance-geometry-based flow matching. This method operates in molecular distance geometry space, explicitly capturing the dynamic changes of interatomic distances during reactions.
2. TS-DFM introduces a network structure called TSDVNet to learn the velocity field for generating TS geometries accurately. It outperforms previous state-of-the-art methods, achieving a 30% improvement in structural accuracy on the Transition1X dataset.
3. The predicted TSs from TS-DFM can serve as high-quality initial structures for subsequent CI-NEB optimization, accelerating the convergence process. Additionally, TS-DFM is capable of identifying alternative reaction paths and discovering more favorable TSs with lower energy barriers.
4. Experiments on the RGD1 dataset demonstrate TS-DFM's strong generalization ability on unseen molecules and reaction types. It consistently outperforms React-OT, a previous leading method, by at least 16% in average RMSD on different test subsets.
5. This work highlights the potential of TS-DFM in facilitating reaction mechanism studies and accelerating reaction pathway analysis. Future work may focus on extending the framework to other domains such as biological and material systems.
