Yes gas is higher than we all want it to be right now. Its going to be a short term sacrifice we all are making in the ongoing AI/Energy cold war we are in with China. People need to quit pretending that we live in the world we grew up in. Powerful AI in the hands of our enemies or their proxies tomorrow, creates possibilities that are far easier to address today. Removing the islamic regime that controls Iran, and supplies China with energy and a powerful ally, is worth short term gas hikes! Removing the Islamic regime that enslaves its women, and has been responsible for killing and injuring thousands of US servicemen, is worth it for the future of our children! We have allowed this problem to fester for 47 years. The threat of powerful AI combined with cheap drones and conventional weapons, in the hands of bad actors, doesn't give our children a promising future. Every openly hostile threat we can remove now, should be removed! We are in a cold war with China that will decide the fate of mankind for many years to come. That's not an exaggeration. That's not me being dramatic or over blowing this. Most 1st world soft Americans don't want to stop to realize what that means. Gas prices will come down when the war with Iran is over. But real worry remains just over the horizon, and more people need to realize where we are are, and where we are going!
