I’ve long held that many of the brands that have sponsored and continue to back this Black Stars is on the grounds of scoring political points + out-of-boardroom consideration. Cos how do you justify it while genuinely better Ghanaian teams and athletes are neglected every year.

This should be a point of reflection regarding the use of Caleb Yirenkyi at right back. He is naturally one of the most promising central midfielders currently in Europe. Positional suitability should be guided by long-term development rather than short-term effectiveness.

One of the frustrating things about watching the Stars under Otto in this stint is not getting a clear sense of how they want to play. It’s as though they’re stuck between playing a style he’d like and one that he’s being forced to adopt.
