Newroz Distortion: Turning a Child into a Tool for Hate After escaping the regime and living in the Kurdistan Region for more than ten years, where he found safety and refuge, a Syrian Arab Sunni man returns only to take advantage of an innocent child in order to incite hatred and denigrate the Kurdish people who have taken in more than 100,000 Syrian refugees. On #Nowruz, he chose to disparage and repeat divisive rhetoric that dehumanises #Kurds rather than honour a cultural celebration of the people who hosted him. This is not merely a viewpoint; it is behaviour that demonstrates how fanaticism and ingratitude can obliterate any human experience, and how youngsters are not taught respect and coexistence but are instead used as instruments to propagate hatred. #Newroz #NewrozPîrozBe @SallyObeid @TRobinsonNewEra @Darinkheder @BaxtiyarGoran @JenGriffinFNC @johnadgrady @yby4040 @YvetteCooperMP @UK_REPT @realMaalouf @NatiqBritanee @kurdX_ @kurdsonalert6

“In this world, it’s not enough to be moral. It’s not enough to be just. It’s not enough to be right.” Kurdish children humiliated and assaulted for celebrating Newroz with their own flags is not just an outrage. It is a warning. Wake up, people. Mountains alone are no longer sufficient.

One day Ocelan will pass away, this is neither hate nor prophecy, it just is how humans function, but that day we will witness the biggest existential crisis among KCK supporters when everything they worked for just falls apart.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, delivers a message for the Newroz in Amed.

This is today’s Newroz celebration in New Jersey, where Kurds/Kurdish-Americans come together, displaying the flags of different Kurdish political groups alongside the Kurdistan flag, in a remarkable display of Kurdish unity.
