@travis_shosa i want to thank sombr for teaching me ambivalence, because i have friends who are crazy about him and i've learned to just ignore it so i can still enjoy people's company but if it were up to me i'd nuke his music from this timeline

Before tomorrow’s new edition on the website, help yourselves to a pack of gummies and give a read to this wild ride of a story by our returning contributor aka counterfeit gummy reviewer Z.H. Gill (@BurialMagazine), “Adventurers,” published in X-R-A-Y. xraylitmag.com/adventurers-by…

@BurialMagazine LMFAO i figured it was something like that, yeah, mcpe is the mobile version of minecraft (i am a zoomer ipad kid) and lifeboat was a public server ppl played minigames on, like hunger games, capture the flag, etc. but the vibes of chat (esp the whispers) are p much 1:1

@raniyach_ (also i have no idea what minecraft pocket edition lifeboat survival games are lmao, i’m a lil older than you, this is mostly drawn from my experiences in world of warcraft and final fantasy 11 + josh hebburn who edited in guild wars - so it’s sick to see it hit for the younger)

@travis_shosa @raniyach_ hey thanks to both of you. probably one of my three favorite pieces i’ve published though i can’t really pick one. i’m about to embark on a project sorta in a similar vein [mostly dialogue] so more soon on that front eventually

@raniyach_ My favorite thing from @BurialMagazine I think. Hard enough to write an all-dialogue story without clumsy exposition. To manage that in a chat log form and actually weave something emotionally complex together is incredibly impressive.

@jamdraper rereading pale fire is humbling because each time you do it you feel like the previous version of you who read it is so stupid

Every time I start a new book Pale Fire stares at me from my bookshelf but once I read it for the first time I will never be able to do it again :/

feels weird to have poems that, in my mind, "go together" but they end up placed in different mags, like i'm sending my kids to different colleges across the country
