Let's keep it brief and simple. Girls Band Cry is a banger of a show that has been ridiculously mistreated by not being licensed. Thanks to various fansubs people are able to enjoy it. Very expressive CG and lively cast. MC beatboxing with a pigeon is a work of art. Go watch it!

I actually think Frieren is one of those once-a-decade classics. But I think much of its charm will be lost of a lot of folks who see nothing past the main trio and solid production. I don't think I would've loved it quite as much in my early 20s or teens.

Frieren has gotta be the most overhyped seasonal anime I've ever seen, I've seen people talk about it like it's the first fantasy anime ever to have slice of life or some groundbreaking new frontier in the genre when it's just the same copy-pasted setting with strong animation.

all in all, aside from a few sour notes (I'm looking at you, Odin), rebirth was a 11/10 game for us. The locales and adventure feel definitely scratched that grand rpg itch I was feeling

after a day or two of chewing, rewatching advent children, and reading some fan theories, I feel a bit better about how rebirth ended. Still not 100% sold on how it was executed, but I can appreciate it more.
