For the record, I think Lupita Nyong’o is incredibly beautiful. I mean she has a nearly perfect face. The issue is that Helen of Troy was Greek and described as fair and Musk is almost certainly correct that Nolan changed her race to fulfill the new diversity standards the Academy requires. And we should whine about that. It’s death to art.

Elon Musk amplifies online whining about Christopher Nolan casting Lupita Nyong'o. Take a look: bit.ly/4dH5sDZ

@lzminsky @elonmusk @megbasham It's unnecessary for a guy who is busy with Twitter, SpaceX, Tesla, court cases, and kids to give a fuck about a random movie. As a shareholder his comments annoy me. But ultimately... I also don't really care.

@ranman @elonmusk @megbasham Because some people care about historical accuracy, have respect towards modern Greeks and their heritage, while also being aware that these choices are designed to be provocative. It's unnecessary to do this.

@megbasham 🎯 The incredible hypocrisy of his lie becomes blatantly obvious when you realize that there is a 0.0% probability of casting Shaka Zulu as White.

beautiful tech stack writeup, one of the best i've ever seen in my career. I always advocate that devtools companies write these up, because it fulfils multiple purposes: - tell users the care that goes into the product - tell hires that there's SOTA work here - tell competitors to give up - gives back to community - (nuanced) tell non-fits why they can't have what they want when they think it's an easy request few actually do this mostly because they don't actually have sufficient depth, or aren't sufficiently good at notetaking/systematic about problemsolving ('its just vibes' or 'honestly we just went with the first thing that worked' doesn't come across as well, so rather not say anything) so when you've done the work, show the work. bravo Raycast

@AshleyLLouise @garrytan Any good sources for this? Over which time period is it net negative? We've got thousands of datacenters across the country so I do believe we could canvas a great dataset.

@garrytan As of right now most research shows data centers are largely net-negative for local communities and are causing real resource strains Rising electricity costs, water, noise and pollution … Data centers are necessary but these are all very real issues that need to be solved

Sanders and AOC introduced a bill to pause ALL AI data center construction. 300+ local bills filed. Half of planned 2026 data centers facing delays or cancellation. Each one brings billions to local economies. The people who say they want American jobs are trying to block the biggest job creation engine since the interstate highway system.

@PTrubey Yes, SpaceX deliberately accepted lower revenue deals with airlines in exchange for making Starlink super easy to use and available to all passengers

Wow. Huge respect. WiFi portals are some of the most annoying things. Starlink would rather give up significant revenue than allow an airline to burden flight customers with portals.
Elon Musk@elonmusk

Not exactly. SpaceX requires that there be no annoying “portal” to use Starlink. Starlink WiFi must just work effortlessly every time, as though you were at home. Delta wanted to make it painful, difficult and expensive for their customers. Hard to see how that is a winning strategy.

I can't help but feel personally burned by the Claude Code changes announced today. We put so much work into wrapping the (atrocious) Claude Agent SDK in T3 Code. It was the ONLY path they supported, so we made it work. It was hell. Now our users are getting their rate limits cut by 40x, despite us doing everything right. I listened to the Claude Code team. I had my issues with their direction, but I trusted them and took them at their word. I will never make that mistake again. Until we see significant change, it is safe to assume any statement from an Anthropic employee is a lie on a timer. The rug will be pulled, no matter how many promises are made beforehand.

Anthropic’s pricing is super clear here. You just need to be following the right Twitter accounts, be comfortable with “step 7, master the wolf” pricing complexity, and can absorb a 5-figure oopsie as part of the learning process.
ClaudeDevs@ClaudeDevs

Starting June 15, paid Claude plans can claim a dedicated monthly credit for programmatic usage. The credit covers usage of: - Claude Agent SDK - claude -p - Claude Code GitHub Actions - Third-party apps built on the Agent SDK

Delta rejected adopting SpaceX's @Starlink on its fleet because it wanted to provide internet connectivity to passengers via the Delta Sync portal, instead of the Starlink-branded portal. Delta has since chosen to partner with Amazon's LEO. This will result in Delta falling behind many of its competitors in offering high-speed WiFi onboard, as many other carriers are already offering or installing Starlink, whereas Amazon's LEO airplane WiFi for Delta is still a couple year away (or more). Satellites currently in orbit: • SpaceX's Starlink: 10,400 • Amazon's LEO: 300 (Delta rejection info according to Ron Baron)
