Russians called for a ceasefire. Ukraine tested this opportunity by dressing three POW in Ukrainian uniforms and ordering them to withdraw to a location further in the rear for processing. Russia, thinking they were Ukrainians, killed the three and bragged about it on social media.

Answering the question about Ukraine’s possible help to unblock the Strait of Hormuz. We had a similar problem when Russia blocked our Food Security Corridor in the Black Sea. They used a wide range of equipment for the blockade – not only battleships, but also helicopters, missiles, jets, and many other things. We crippled the Russian Black Sea Fleet and pushed them away from the corridor. Then we organized convoys for civilian vessels using sea drones to counter Russian helicopters and other offensive weaponry. Now the Food Security Corridor is under our control and it works. We can share this expertise with other countries, but nobody asked us to come and help with the Hormuz Strait. Partners only asked us to share our expertise. From an interview with AP (3/3).

Things went sideways for Ukraine’s allies once Trump won and pivoted U.S. support toward helping Russia win, framing it as “peace negotiations” -essentially coercing Ukraine to accept Russian demands and call it peace. America is a very powerful country, and Europe had made it the backbone of its strategic defense. Europe, while standing strongly with Ukraine, has admitted it relies on America to make that standing effective. Sad realities. Where does this leave us? The answer lies in the answer to the question: “If Hitler had won, what would the resistance do?” The resistance will consider everything and every decision existential and act like it. I believe European allies should treat stopping Russia as an existential priority. They can still help Ukraine defeat Russia without U.S. support. I also believe that if a European state -say, Norway- were attacked, Europe would rise up and crush Russia conventionally. The question is: when will Europe find Ukraine to be existential enough to act with the same resolve?

Zelenskyy: People keep saying Ukraine can't win because Russia is nuclear power. Then what security guarantees should Ukraine get to counterbalance nuclear state? NATO? Nuclear weapons? If so, just say it directly: "We will give you NATO membership and a nuclear deterrent." But no one has offered that. What frustrates me most is that no one speaks to Russia with the same urgency: "Russia, you must back down, compromise, and end this war now, because people are dying." As you see, no one talks to them like that.
