I know many of you aren't fans of the recent change where extra cosmetics are no longer bundled with Skins. However, a lot of people don't know why the devs made this decision. •Why did they make this change? The old system they used to determine Skin rarities wasn't very good. A Skin could be considered Legendary simply because it came with 9 Pins, a Player Icon, and a Spray, which often disappointed the community whenever new Legendary Skins were revealed. Many players felt they weren't actually worth their rarity. Now, those extra cosmetics are no longer tied directly to Skins. Instead, the devs have shifted their focus toward improving the Skins themselves with features like custom attack sounds, Super sounds, takedown effects, respawn effects, and generally higher production quality. •Why are the devs still making cosmetics that match specific Skins? The devs never said they would stop creating extra cosmetics themed around Skins. Those cosmetics will continue to exist, they just won't necessarily be bundled with the Skin itself anymore. •My opinion: I don't really understand why this topic has caused so much outrage. It's a problem that can be solved fairly easily, and it's not something that has a major impact on the game. You also have to remember that Brawl Stars is a mobile game, and mobile games are typically monetized quite aggressively.. especially when it comes to progression. Seeing a Pin that's themed after a Skin being sold separately for 1,500 Bling isn't the end of the world. We should learn to separate genuinely serious issues from relatively minor ones. If purchasing Legendary Skins also included all of the extra cosmetics while keeping the new quality improvements that Supercell has added, it would essentially double their value without increasing the price. That's a pretty huge ask for the team right now. That said, I do agree with you: Skins should include their matching cosmetics instead of having them sold separately. I'll be posting a concept later that I believe offers the best solution to another issue with extra cosmetics: how rarely they're actually used. Until then, let's keep discussing the topic in the comments.
