I hate going to a mall or an airport. I just get so angry. You look around and you think we lost a war

@oecolamp Interestingly BAPism is still totally viable as a personal way of life, even as its salience in online political discourse fades. But political relevance depends on transformation of life *at scale* which has not happened.

Ideas that are exciting and new quickly become stale when they fail to transform the way we live. Even someone as influential as BAP eventually becomes just part of the background. The only thing that stays fresh is an audacious crime.
Lemurian🍍@lemurdaze

I check the BAP tl occasionally and it's always the same CD track. Placeholder tweets from 2cb about "ethno-narcissim", cold war Vietnam Angola historiography, zoomer of the month RTs, obligatory gender war whinging, animool, lolicon. Out. Of. Gas.

@blancmontagnard The archaic "in rem" action that has managed to stick around to this day, despite its scope being whittled away. Usually attached to artifacts, like this case, or ships in admiralty law

Men are the more romantic sex because one time on a date it started raining, me and the girl I was with ran to a gazebo for shelter, we were soaked, so I thought “Aw this is cute, kinda sweet like a cheesy romcom or something.” and she was fucking PISSED.

“A building should appear to grow easily from its site and be shaped to harmonize with its surroundings if Nature is manifest there.” Wright in first half of 20th century was pioneer of “organic architecture”, buildings integrating to landscape.

“San Francisco is the only city I can think of that can survive all the things you people are doing to it and still look beautiful.” - Frank Lloyd Wright He refers to its shanty urban architecture and neglect for its natural beauty saying “time you had another earthquake”.

Basically the problem with our society isn’t even “women” or “phones,” it’s that the built-in short-term perks and amenities created by general affluence make it so that no one is willing or able to iterate past their immediate whims and imagine what their life will be in the future or acknowledge that they too are subject to aging or consider what this will look like at scale. Affordability is a huge factor, of course, but partly a self-reinforcing one.

People laugh but this will be a major epidemic in just a decade or two, unlocking new galaxy brain tiers of mental illness and granting final legitimacy to the assisted suicide industry

A lot of women think they’re gonna be ok later in life being alone cuz they’re used to it now but I suspect being alone in your 20s and 30s while still receiving ample male attention will feel much different than being alone in your 40s and 50s. Pride

I’ve criticized Allan Bloom a long time for his distortions on causes of modern problems—all genealogies referring back to some remote root cause like Relativism or in case of other writers, Locke, Luther, Nominalism, etc are just evasions for an intellectual to crack his knuckles and swing his dick—but in Closing of American Mind Bloom he did write a book that achieved commercial success on its own merits. The failure of Gottfried and Paleocons to do the same isn’t due to sabotage or conspiracies but their own inability to say interesting things. Same is true for their magazines and institutes…they had their own but they weren’t compelling. This isn’t a defense of Bloom and neocons but it’s a dead end imo to get involved in the internecine conflicts of the conservative movement of some decades either way
Bronze Age Pervert@bronzeagemantis

Moral relativism? Does anyone who interacts with the left think there's any kind of moral relativism about them? They're moral fanatics, driven by a religious fervor. Allan Bloom led the right into a dead end with his nonsense about "moral relativism"

“It was not bad, considering we were all under 20…” When I read such things re 20th C nationalist movements and factions…Le Van Vien setting up gambling houses outside Chinese and Euro settlements in Indochina to finance his groups…and compare to today’s “radicals”…

A 1966 interview with Vietnamese Gen. Le Van Vien by Catholic weekly Rivarol; at the time he was in exile in Paris. Hilaire du Berrier newsletter has small typeface so I asked Claude to render it for you. Thread with 4 posts...Nice sketch of a modern Robin Hood nationalist

@RealWorldArchon There's a theory that internet porn helped reduce the number of serial killers. Hopefully these "games" can do the same with transexual mass murderers.
