The Brutal Reality of 2009: The Massacre of Uyghurs in East Turkistan This footage shows Chinese 🇨🇳 illegal settlers armed with weapons, searching for and hunting down Uyghurs in the streets of Urumqi during the July 2009 unrest. The Uyghurs who were caught by these mobs were brutally lynched in broad daylight. This is a clear depiction of the state-sponsored terrorism against the Uyghur people. Since the occupation of East Turkistan in 1949, the Uyghurs and other Turkic peoples have been facing a continuous genocide carried out by the Chinese government and government-backed illegal Chinese settlers.
