January 2025 vs. February 2026. Over a year ago, I posted that second clip. I was mentally and physically drained. I truly felt like I had no fight left in me. Little did I know that in the months that followed, I would come dangerously close to losing my life. But if there’s one thing about me, it’s this: I will always find a way to get back up. I was determined to pick myself up—yet again. And now? My sparkle is back. ✨ And yes… boy, do I have some lessons I cannot wait to share. I never want to lose this sparkle again.

Moses Hardy, the last African American WW1 veteran who was the son of ex-slaves. He survived a mustard gas attack in France, being awarded the Victory Medal by the Mississippi National Guard and the French Legion d'honneur (The most prestigious national order of merit) Nov. 4, 2005. He rarely talked about the war and passed away a year later at 112. The most haunting photos ever taken: bit.ly/46yA996

👑 Great news this morning. No we haven't won, don't be daft! The good news is courtesy of Pete Graves and concerns Newcastle United icon Kevin Keegan, who he reports is on the mend and is preparing for his first public appearance following his recent cancer diagnosis. After receiving an outpouring of support from the football community in January, it has been confirmed that our former player and manager is “feeling better” and eager to reconnect with the fans. King Kev is scheduled to host a major event at the Tyne Theatre on May 31st, alongside Pete Graves: "The King is back in Newcastle in May in just five weeks at the Tyne Theatre. Kev has been going through a really tough time. He's been very poorly but the great news is he has responded well to his treatment and he is feeling a lot better. He is not out of the woods yet, but he is feeling strong enough to come out and see people, see his fans and tell his stories and relive wonderful memories, which he enjoys doing so much." "It is going to be an honour to host and I can't wait to welcome him out and let him hear the cheer of all the Geordies when he gets there!" News of Keegan's illness first surfaced in January, following a family statement which explained: "Kevin Keegan was recently admitted to hospital for further evaluation of ongoing abdominal symptoms. These investigations have revealed a diagnosis of cancer, for which Kevin will undergo treatment. Kevin is grateful to the medical team for their intervention and ongoing care. During this difficult time, the family are requesting privacy, and will be making no further comment." At the time, the football world rallied around him. Following our thrilling 4-3 Newcastle victory over Leeds United that evening, Eddie Howe said: "The team that Keegan created was truly special, and it is still talked about. We're always trying to be that team, we want the supporters on the edge of their seats. Today was us at our thrilling best without playing at our best. The news before the game shook us all up. We want to pay tribute to him and send him all our love." The widespread affection for Keegan has reignited calls for a statue at St James’ Park. Reflecting on Keegan’s massive impact on the club, Alan Shearer said: "I would love it if Kevin Keegan got a statue at St James’ Park. I think if there was ever another statue to be built at Newcastle, then it would have to be for Kevin Keegan after what he's done for the football club... what Kevin did for Newcastle, I don't think anything that we're doing now would have been possible if it wasn't for Kevin after what he did, and the choices that he had, but he then came to Newcastle as a player, he was my hero. I watched his very first game at Newcastle as an 11 or 12-year-old and then got to work with him both at Newcastle and with England. So yeah, I’m like every Newcastle fan; a huge, huge, huge fan of Kevin Keegan. Kevin ranks as one of the biggest modern Newcastle legends we have ever had. I mean, both as a player and a manager, for what he achieved and the football that he played, and some of the players that he bought in. Of course, he went so close to winning the league with Newcastle and as a player, I mean, it was unbelievable. For him to come and play at Newcastle and do what he did, he was like the Pied Piper, he had hundreds of kids chasing after him and I was one of those kids trying to get his autograph, so it was great to also work with him within Newcastle and England." The statue, or stand naming or lasting monument should have happened a long time ago in my opinion, but it's just brilliant to hear that health wise he is doing better. No doubt tickets to this event will be like gold dust! There's only one Kevin Keegan! 🖤🤍 #NUFC #NUFCNews #Newcastle #EPL #keegan

In February 2015, BBC journalist Stuart Flinders was in Liverpool asking passersby about the 1967 Merseyside derby. By chance, he stopped Tommy Lawrence, unaware that he was the former Liverpool goalkeeper who had actually played in the match. When asked if he remembered the game, Lawrence smiled and replied, “I do, I played in it.” The exchange quickly went viral, charming fans with its mix of humility and perfect timing. Lawrence, affectionately known as “The Flying Pig,” died in January 2018. The moment endures as a much-loved piece of football folklore, capturing the magic of football’s shared memory.

Deixou caminho.
