River Ryan was ELECTRIC last night in Albuquerque! 4 IP | 1R | 2H | 4Ks | 1BB His fastball touched 100.9 MPH, and he hit triple digits on 6 different pitches. He averaged 98.6 on the 4 seam and got 20 whiffs/called strikes on 53 pitches overall with his arsenal. He also held the velo and was STILL hitting 98 in the 4th inning. His spin rate touched 2532 on his 4 Seam as well, so, not only did he have velo, he also had a LOT of carry/ride, which means that velo was holding longer as it approached home plate. His slider averaged 92 MPH with a 50% whiff rate (3 of 6), and he generated a 75% called strike + whiff rate on his sinker (3 of 4), and his curveball reached 2790 on the spin rate as well.
