I'm 19 and Last year I made the most reckless decision of my life. I dropped out of college. Told my parents it would all be worth it one day. They didn’t believe me. They said I’d be seen as just a high school passout. No degree. No job. No backup. And honestly… I couldn’t even convince them. Because at 19, I hadn’t done anything impressive yet. I had nothing to show. I got my first laptop at 18. That’s when everything started. I began learning to code. Slowly. Messily. Built my first apps: NODELAY, a salon booking app. NowExcel, Cursor for Excel. Fasttly, a web page summariser and Chrome extension. No fancy background. No connections. Just WiFi and stubbornness. Today I’m 19. Still figuring it out. Building in public. Trying to make enough so I don’t have to ask my parents for money. I will make this work. You can screenshot this if you want. The biggest lie devs still believe: “If I build something good enough, people will find it.” That used to work. It doesn’t anymore. AI made building faster. Not easier to win. Good products still matter. But they’re easier to copy now. What’s harder to copy is distribution and trust.
