The director said it’s not the wish itself that’s bad. It’s all about the wording that the person uses when making a wish. He said in an interview if Bear had been more specific things probably would have turned out completely different. The wish only backfired because of what Bear said. I’d be interested in seeing what happens when someone is very specific about their wish.
