@bbcdebatenight This is nuts. Deduct points from a club for something completely and entirely outwith their control?
English

"I don't want to just see points deducted, I want to see the clubs held responsible"
Reform UK Scotland's Thomas Kerr says it’s “crazy” that tax payers are liable for the “violence” and “vandalism” of some football fans, which has been put up with for “far too long”

@belhavenbear @Jackie60166950 @jamb0skickback Do you really want to win a title on the basis of less than 30 seconds of playing time, knowing you needed two goals?
English

@Jackie60166950 @jamb0skickback And the premature end to the fixture? Is that just allowed to slide or should the SFA look at the rules governing such an event?
English

@jamb0skickback And we know why, don't we. Clue: it's got nothing to do with Saturday. Honestly, you guys have been taken for a ride, willing fodder, groomed to be victims. So far entrenched in this fantasy that you can't even decide what your principal complaint is.
English

@toadmeister The absolute nerve of Hearts. They've been banging on about sporting integrity for two weeks and now want to win it on a technicality. We see you and your bullshit.
English

If Scottish football has any integrity Celtic must be stripped of their title, says Philip Patrick. The laws of the game are clear: if a pitch invasion ends a game early it is either forfeit or replayed. dailysceptic.org/2026/05/20/if-…

@Official_T4O The gravity of the situation? They need to win their necks in. They’re wallowing in the victimhood mentality that’s been created by a lazy and sensationalist media.
English

"We are aware of highly irresponsible comments made publicly this week, which appear to seek to defend those who entered the pitch on Saturday and undermine the gravity of the situation. Those remarks carry dangerous implications, and we call upon the football authorities to ensure that this matter is addressed with the seriousness it demands, and with the full cooperation of all involved."
Hearts calling out Martin O'Neill's statements on TalkSport which were roundly condemned.
Also, their statement makes it clear they (and the football world in large) do not have clarity on how Celtic were handed the title when the Celtic fans invaded the field of play.

@raskinrangers72 This is an extremely drawn out meltdown considering it’s got nothing to do with them.
English

Southampton being chucked out the playoffs for cheating , over to you @ScottishFA to lead by example 🤣
English

@ChristinaH3ndry Enough of the sanctimony. Nobody cheated. Nobody was robbed.
English

@SuperJoeSavage @ScottishFA You guys had your chance and now you want to win it on a technicality. Sporting integrity, eh?
English

@SaorAlbannach Off the charts sanctimonious. You boys need to take a day off from this crap.
English

I'm a Heart of Midlothian season ticket holder, shareholder and Foundation member. I, along with several thousand Hearts fans have agency with the club.
Contrast this with Celtic, whose relationship with the fans is solely transactional. It's like cheering being served a Big Mac
Hybrid Moments@Alabama_Celt
@SaorAlbannach Why are the huns taking this so much worse than the Hearts fans. I thought they were Dignity FC.
English

@freddiemac1 Sporting integrity, eh? That’s what we heard all week. But now that Hearts have bottled it, we’re seeing all manner of desperate theories being dreamed up to hand it to Hearts on a technicality. We see you.
English

Technically the goal should have been disallowed.
The rules clearly state that a team can only have a maximum of 11 players on the pitch at any one time.
Dougie Masterton@Masterton9
Celtic subs coming onto the pitch before he’s even scored the goal. So the invasion started before the game was complete.
English

@A6788C Will Kris Boyd be back from his mental health break in time?
English

@GeorgeFoulkes @JamTarts @UKHouseofLords Exactly how were Hearts wronged at Celtic Park. Details, please.
English

The groundswell of support for @JamTarts is growing rapidly.
I was told in Glasgow and now in @UKHouseofLords many people outraged by events at Celtic Park on Saturday & increasingly on line including Gary Lineker & many other informed commentators.
Some action must follow.
