The species is named Rathalos inagami, inspired by the monster character “Inagami” from Monster Hunter, which is also associated with bamboo forests.

@BannedDino Number one thing that upsets me about Wilds is the blandness of the Quests. Besides the special requests, the only Optionals are bland 1-monsters only there so you can fight them at will. And they ALL have the description just say "go hunt this". No flavor, no requested. Nothing.
